Crashes due to memory leak? Game eating RAM

Basically can’t play the game properly. I have a semi-decent, though not amazing, PC
Ryzen 3600x
6GB 2060
16 GB 3600 MHZ RAM
Game installed on my M2.

I can only get the game to work on the lowest settings and not in my native resolution otherwise it immediately eats all my RAM and crashes everything. Even on the lowest settings it the memory usage creeps up and up till it eventually crashes again though after a longer period of time. This is the 2nd time I have bought Last Epoch in the past year and had the exact same problems on my gaming laptop which is way better than my desktop.

Is there any acknowledgement of this issue? Anyone else getting the same crashes? Is there a fix coming or a workaround I can try? I love the look and feel of the game and don’t want to have to ask for a refund again but this is kind of rediculous.

One of the most recent patch notes mentioned that a memory leak had been fixed and that more are under investigation

OK cool, I can play the game OK but I know my PC should be able to crank the graphics ip and want to as I am still only able to play with everything lowest at 1440.
