When trying to open the game through steam it crashes immediately.
If I open the .exe directly in the games folder it launches fine to the login screen.
Since it’s not launching through steam though it doesn’t give the prompt to link accounts.
I have tried reinstalling the game, restarting the computer, turning off all other programs, updated graphical drivers.
PC Specs:
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel i5 3.3GHz
16BG RAM
AMD Radeon R9 390 8GB VRAM
Samsung EVO 2TB SSD
I have the exact same issue. This is not a technical issue with the game itself its something involving the steam connectivity etc. I can launch from the .exe but then It says I don’t have a license after I log in and boots me back.
If I open the .exe directly in the games folder it launches fine to the login screen. But like Vrindlevine said it says I don’t have a license when I try to login.
Firstly, have you tried to verify the Steam files - crashes can and do corrupt things - so its worth trying.
Secondly… I am wondering if the recent problem with the social features is affecting this… The devs have said that the Steam linking is not working because of this temporary problem and have said that an F patch (on E now) is coming this week that should fix it…
Lastly, if you are up to testing, can you try and launch the game with the standalone launcher - even if you still cannot login, at least this can then tell us if you crash or not… If it doesnt crash on the standalone then its definitely a Steam related problem … if it also crashes in the standalone, then its likely on the EHG side.
