Hey all,
I realize LE is still in Beta, and there are some performance tweaks that still need to be made, but as I was scrolling through the comments related to this issue, I noticed that the vast majority were related to the GPU overheating rather than the CPU, and the recommendations tailored to that issue.
I’m running a Ryzen 3900x (about to be a 5900x - I’ve done the BIOS update, just need to swap in the chip) with liquid cooling, and an RTX 3090 for the GPU. I know Ryzen chips tend to run on the warm side, but I’ve actually hit 100c while playing Last Epoch - a milestone I hadn’t hit with even the most demanding new games. Fortunately the chips were designed to run hot, so I didn’t even notice a slowdown (I only knew because I have the color of my RGB keyboard linked to the CPU heat sensor - under 50c is green, slowing turning yellow as it approached 70c, and red as it goes over 90c).
I’m hoping the switch to the 5900x (and the reapplying of thermal paste that ensues) will help the issue, but in the meantime, are there any settings tweaks that are more heavily related to the CPU than the GPU? I’d rather not be verging into the triple-digits Celsius if I can help it
