Constant disconnections

Only bought the game like 2 days ago and I constantly get disconnected when moving to new zones, takes 2 or 3 attempts to move to a new zone constant “youve been disconnected”
Tried DMZ, disabled all firewalls, reset connection, flushed DNS, changed DNS, I don’t think its my end because no other game does it on any of our pcs.
I’m posting because I can see loads of other posts from people with the same problem, however I’m unable to find an official post or response.

Did you ever here back or fix this?

No, so me and my friends got a stream refund. nothing about the constant Dc’s from staff or support, whiles players report it all the time.

Try to disable your firewall and test it again. I think the reason could be that the firewall blocks incoming p2p traffic.

Disabling firewall entirely does nothing for me. My gut tells me it’s an ISP issue but there’s nothing I can do about that unfortunately. I had no issues when I played multiplayer last summer but since trying to come back this past week I’ve had constant disconnects typically when changing zones. Something about their server updates around the fall my connection does not like. Some days are better than others. East coast server is closest for me but even using a different server doesn’t help. I haven’t tried a VPN to disguise the traffic from my ISP yet but I’ve heard positive results from someone else with the issue doing that. Don’t want to use a free VPN but it’s currently hard for me to justify a subscription for one just for this currently.

I stopped digging but so far I think at least some German ISP’s are blocking certain P2P traffic / DNS P2P requests . Since Last Epoch uses this transfer protocol, there is no way around.
Technical assistance on the dev’s side is not existant.
Let’s see after release when the sh.t hits the fan and they have to respond.

not sure about this, ive played many games that use p2p and never had the issue, also in the UK most of our ISPs actually resell from BTOpenworld. so way more people would have the issue.

I pinged one of their servers I was playing on (played online but solo), and it showed a 20% packet loss from ping…

Same problem here. The game is basically unplayable since it takes half a dozen tries just to get out of the end of time.

really was looking forward to this game, but it seems support is lacking. i’ll try the game again on release and if need be just refund again and give up.

For me, the solution was not to have the p2p traffic scanned in ips. IPS can also work when the firewall is turned off. IPS = Intrusion Prevention System.

The total range is inetnum: 188.42.32.0 - 188.42.39.255 (EU) not sure what the last epoch servers are but check the logging on your router if there is any blocked traffic. for me it looked liked this:

Source IP
192.xxx.x.xx:xxx
Destination IP
188.42.38.236:26071
Activity
10.4 KB
Action
Blocked
Interface
br0
Protocol
UDP

Same problem here and I am concerned to see that many people had the same problem for a long time and there is no official solution.

same here…
can’t find a statement from the devs. either they don’t care or they don’t read the forum.
