Constant Crashing PLS Help

Hello, I recently bought the game, unfortunately I’ve only been able to play if for 8 minutes. Whenever I try to leave the very first area of the game CRASH. Sometimes after I select a character and click play CRASH. Played for 15minutes total (6x Crash)

I’ve attached the most recent crash that occurred when changing locations. I can also provide the one that occurred after I selected character.

Hey, Welcome to the forums…

Sorry you are having hassles… Luckily there are some things to try…

(please can you include more details on your system and in-game graphics settings)

Here are some generic things:

  1. Verify the game files through Steam… very important first step to make sure you are not trying to play with a corrupted installation.

  2. Make sure your OS is patched and that your GPU drivers are recent (NOT the latest and greatest as those tend to be unstable) - something from the last few months.

  3. Based on the system info I can see from the Error log, you are using Ryzen 5 5600X with a AMD Radeon RX 6800. With those components, I am going to make the assumption that you are running the game with higher in-game settings (probably Ultra) at 2560 x 1440 with possibly no framerate limits… This combination of settings is known to cause graphic related instability… It is not related to your hardware (although people with higher end systems tend to push the game harder) but its more that LE is in beta and needs performance optimisation…

    • Temporarily set your game to 1080p, 60fps framerate limited (not vsync) with ALL in-game settings on very low or disabled… Test the game with these EXACT settings. If you are able to play without crashing then you are definitely suffering from the graphic instability issues. If the game is stable, the next step is to increase the resolution ONLY and test again… if its good, then increase the framerate to whatever your screen can handle or LESS. Do not leave it unlimited. Test the game while monitoring your GPU usage - reduce the framerate limit until your GPU usage % is averaging between 60-70% - you do not want LE maxing out your GPU. If everything is still stable then you can start changing the in-game graphics quality settings… As you are already having hassles, I would not recommend going higher than Medium but you need to monitor the GPU usage & overall game stability as you go to to find the best / stable / acceptable config for you.

    • Obviously if this solves your problem then you, like the rest of us, just need to be conservative with the graphic settings until the devs can dedicate time to resolving the performance issues… right now they are heavily focussed on content…

If none of the options above help, then please post your dxdiag etc and I will try and see if there is anything more specific about your system that is potentially causing the crashing.
