Hi, I just bought the game in steam, everything was ok until i got to the last archive, I was crashing constantly while trying to load in and out of the area, I am not sure if this is for all areas now as this is the only area I am trying to access for now. Have tried reinstalling the whole game but no changes. I’ll attach the log files here.
Being Beta, LE has lots of performance related issues and if you try running it on higher settings it can get very unstable - even if your system should technically be able to handle it…
Try and reduce your resolution to 1080p, limit framerate to 60fps and set ALL graphic settings to very low or disabled…
Test and see if this makes it more stable for you…
Your test at the lowest possible setting usually improves things for most people so this could be something else…
There are a few posts about people with dual graphics on laptops that are having odd hassles… not sure if its related but it could be… Is there any way you can 100% disable the integrated graphics and be sure that the system is only running on the dedicated GPU? maybe in Bios - not a Fn option?
I tried doing that when I got the laptop but there is no way to disable the integrated card. It causes unintended problems with the dedicated card too.
All the crashes are happening when loading a zone, as long as I successfully load a zone, playing is fine, but the moment I have to change zone, there is a high chance it would fail.
The integrated graphics is in the CPU so its usually something that you have to use the bios to disable… Sometimes it also helps to remove the drivers but thats usually a bit tricky without using a third party tool like this. and it may cause other issues related to the laptop power saving modes.
I see from your ini file it you have frame limiting off - this is an important setting to enable. Set to this to on and set it to 60fps and also disable Antialiasing entirely. Try then.
I really can’t disable the integrated graphics. I tried way before and it always takes the dedicated graphics with it, disables it too. I have raised this in the forums for the laptop and it is by design that it cannot be disabled.
Pity… Its always so much harder to get laptops to work with games… especially ones like LE that are still in Beta… Maybe your specific issue will be solved when the game is improved - cant really hope for anything else at this stage. Maybe waiting a patch or two more might help things for you…
One last idea and a very long shot… are you using an external monitor? If you arent, maybe connecting it (if you have multiple HDMI ports - use the one on the dedicated GPU). Then in Windows, make the laptop only display on the external monitor and set LE on exclusive fullscreen…
