I have a High end system, Game runs well, but if i’m interacting with the Forge or Pressing F-key, my PC instantly shuts down, and reboots… Anyone experienced this problem?
Hey, Welcome to the forum…
This is a new problem… Cant say I have seen it…
This is a worrying issue - not seen LE rebooting peoples machines… Are you sure there is not a hardware related issue happening on your system all of a sudden?
Re the forge itself…
They did make some updates in the recent patch regarding the Forge - maybe this is causing the issue…
Can you verify your installation files (Steam verify feature)…
Devs are also likely to ask for details on your system if that doesnt work - https://support.lastepoch.com/category/35-useful-files
I’m playing like 2 hours more now, and had like 8 crashes more. It also crashed after first time using glyph in the crafting slot. It crashed first time using the Forge Button, it crashed when i used an waypoint to a new area. and it just crashed when i came in an new area (realm of the forgotten). It looks like everything i use the first time it crashes… and immediatly shuts down my PC.
Definitely a new problem… People are experiencing crashing but it doesnt shut down peoples PCs…
You say you are running a high end system but LE can max out GPUs to 100% if you dont limit the settings & framerate etc. This can cause overheating and instability and can be worse if the system is overclocked or doesnt have good cooling.
Are you sure your system is not overheating and forcing a safety shutdown?
Please post your system information (see my last post)…
I can see my temperature very well, processor i9 9900k aint getting higher than 70 degrees, and videocard RTX3090 aint getting higher than 78 degrees. I am playing on a monitor Samsung Odyssey G9, on max resolution. Capped my fps at 144 now and trying it. It must has something to do with the videosettings, i just ingame changed it from 5120x1440 to 2560x1440. that went allright. then i clicked Exclusive full screen and crashed again.
Not sure if you have been reading the forums at all, but even high end systems like yours have problems with LE if you dont make some sort of a concession in terms of settings & resolution… LE has lots of performance optimisation problems & pushing the envelope WILL make it crash. It is still in EA / Beta…
Personally I wouldnt run this game in its current state on 5210xanything even if I had a nuclear power plant for a computer…
As a test… Drop the resolution temporarily to 1080p with all settings on low or disabled and see if it stops crashing…
If its stable, then increase the res one step and check for stability again… once its at a resolution you want and stable, then you can see if any of the other settings can be raised/enabled…
ps. the devs could use the logs to help trace the problems and are unlikely to be able to help without them… up to you tho…
