I want it to at the VERY LEAST let me select the unique in particular I want(especially as this part will get worse for target farm every league with new uniques) and let me select at least one guarenteed affix(as this will get worse every league too).
Why stop there, why not have the devs add in an item editor as well? Then we can add in auto-play from mobile so you can grind at work. The point of ARPGs is the journey to get the gear, without that we are just clicking on animated monsters and might as well play minesweeper.
CoF was added as a compromise between trade and no-trade - the intent was to not hurt drops for those who were playing non-MG, as in for it to FEEL rewarding,
But it barely helps the issue, when I look at my character very few pieces of their gear have the CoF mark, which essentially means that CoF is doing almost nothing for me.
CoF doesnât only increase gear drops though, what about glyphs of despair that have been made even rarer that CoF has access to? What about the increased LP chances?
What exactly does CoF need to make you, DOOMBYBBR, happy? Letâs say they did improve CoF and you gotten basically all the gear you wanted in 4 days at the start of the season. What would you do for the rest of the season?
Careful before going MG. For popular builds the prices are insane, 20-100million+ per item. I donât see this being healthy for the game as newer players basically canât do anything in MG.
Stupid OP Builds, Dupes, and RMT is causing extreme inflation. I worry about giving this game a 1month break and being able to basically not use MG when I come back.
If I completed one build I would make a different build
And if we are going by that standard we should also look at if I was trying to do the same thing with MG. Which would get it in less than a day instead of 4 days.
You cannot buy lp gear in MG within a day. It is in fact a grind to get levels in mg.
Am I in an ARPG forum or what? People are complaining about not getting the uniques they want self found? When thereâs MG? Wow, itâs like EHG didnât implement a function to help you target farm items you want, like earning gold to buy on the bazaar? Itâs like people have never seen D4 with its non existent trade and POE, where you have to use a 3rd party site to trade.

That isnt what CoF is for. If u want deterministic theres MG for that. Which is the whole point of MG
Soul point of CoF os to give non trade players away to not be gimpped and feel forced to trade i order to progress like u are in poe going ssf.
When you get 20 drops from COF, they are either good for your build or characters or they are junk.
When I get 3-4 drops as MG, they are either good for my build or characters or they are good for several dozens of other builds across plenty of characters and play types that all need one thing or another in some way.
When Iâm looking for an upgrade, not only can I get itâŚI can get a higher quality version of the same thing relatively easily and quickly.
I think itâs wild that Iâm explaining the benefits of trade. 2020s are definitely a cursed era to live in.
MG is over powered, i grinded for 100 hours. I made an alt and went to check MG. My entire build would be worth less then 1M gold, half the items where free with 3lp. I dont even have said items in 2LP!!!
The new alt is a mage. My mage is doing 80K crits wifh static at lvl 30. My CoF warlock cant crit for 10k. Think thats enough said.
Thats bullshit, it really depends, my gear is worth at least 500 milions coins in MG, got it just from playing to 500 corruption with CoF. It really depends on the gear requirements. Of course if you are ok with some shit exalted/legendaries, yes you go MG, but prices of meta gear is going very high right now.

I was playing on LP1, one LP2 item in COF for more than a week, then I switched to MG, and despite starting from lvl 1 faction rep, I got 3-4lp gear within 2-3 days. Now my character is like 10 times stronger than it was.

Disagree here. Im in empowered have been for the last week or so with my dive bomb build at lvl 88. Playing for 2hrs every night after work. Days off maybe 5-6 hrs I still cannot buy exalted items which is rank 5. Ranking up is way to slow.
Yes i am selling stuff as well. Even bought some items for this build.
I swear people go nuts on these threads. Someone was complaining (in hyperbole to be fair) about how they were unable to get gear in CoF and some of the people in that thread were straight up telling him to uninstall and go back to Diablo3.

Anyway, youâre right, CoF will get a bit of a buff now that the unique enabling low drop chance has been identified. Or it wonât and who the fuck even cares? People will simply use MG if thatâs the case.
I know where I stand. I was eyeing CoF but Iâm an uber casual with only a passing interest in LE (1.0 did not add enough content to make me enthusiastic about playing it again so my top level is 54 Iâm sporadically leveling) and while finding my own gear had its appeal it goes deep into crafting and RNG.
I would rather just buy some cheap build enabling unique like I do with PoE and then work myself up. Or not and just have my casual fun.

I have leveled all 10 levels in few days. Not 6 or 7. Maybe tenth level took an extra day on its own, but the rest was a breeze.
I think CoF is quite good early on, you certainly get much more exalt drops, and double t7 exalts I saw a lot in CoF, there is not any in MG, if there is a single on auction, it costs amount you can never afford.
For good uniques Lp3+ and boss uniques Lp2+ CoF is in ugly place. and Its rank 9 benefit is a complete joke. Personally I think some slight tuning to CoF endgame, and rework of the prophecies mechanic, to target a particular boss unique drop for example, would fix an issue.
