Char screen & play => Graphic Low => GPU 98%

Hi,

Last Epoch is at 95% - 98% GPU all the time, even on char selection …
Low graphics, fixed fps, driver updated, 2560 * 1440
I prefer to avoid to play because my graphics card’s ventirad is anomaly noisy…

Here the DxDiag and Graphics.ini
DxDiag.txt (117.0 KB) le_graphicsmanager.ini (491 Bytes)

I’m having similar issues, the game is at constant 85-100% range in terms of GPU usage. Lowering resolution or video settings does increase performance, but does not lower GPU usage. Temperatures get too high to play consistently. This happens in towns as well as in combat, though more noticeably in combat where the FPS tanks down to low 30s for me.

Specs: GTX980
Intel i7 5820k
16gb Mhz 2667
Windows 10 latest update as of 01 04 2021

Same issue here!

My gpu is mostly of time, in 85-95% even in menu or city.

Specs: RTX 2060
Ryzen 5 3600x
16gb Mhz 3200
Windows 10 latest update

Hey… Welcome to the three of you… @bzordx @Lollipoppe @elflamby

LE has performance issues and it can max out a GPU easily in some cases making things very unstable or trying to burn down your house. It can happen on low to high end systems just as easily…

A high GPU utilisation is usually because there is no framerate limit set in-game… If you do not include a limit, it seems that LE will attempt to use the GPU to its max for no apparent reason… Limiting the GPU to whatever your monitor can handle is usually good enough to stop the GPU from overworking. Any limit is better than leaving it unlimited and even high end systems with fast monitors seem to settle around 120fps as a max till the devs can sort this out.

However, if this doesnt work… try the suggestions below that have worked for others - please note that these suggests are not only for GPU load but also for stability issues - i.e. crashes so the suggestions are generic for now:

(please note that the below assumes that your systems are patched, all drivers are up to date and that general maintance has been performed - ie. there are no issues)

Temporarily set your resolution to 1080p, frame rate limit to 60fps, all individual graphics settings to very low or disabled.

Test at this to see if stability improves
If it does, then increase the resolution (leave everything else the same) and test again.
If its stable, then increase the frame rate limit to whatever you want it to be (IMPORTANT - KEEP IT LIMITED and dont set it higher than your system can obviously maintain)
If its still stable, then increase the in-game graphics settings one step at a time… It is not recommended to go above Medium right now - even players with 3090s have found that Medium is the most stable setting right now. If you are running a high resolution, then its recommended to keep it lower.
