Have run into same issue as well. As the prompt says this to be tied to protecting our accounts, sounds like those with longer email addresses are in a more vulnerable position (?)
I don’t think it is related to security reasons but instead it is a database or form limit that is in effect.
In case you were referring to my reply, I was referring to the reason why it’s recommended to register an email address. I wasn’t referring to security to being to the cause of the issue. I do agree with your suspicions on the possible cause as I also work as a developer though in a different industry

I do believe this is just a field size limit. I’ll look into changing it.
