Hi, i was browsing your log files. You have a lot of DirectX related issues:
d3d11: failed to create 2D texture shader resource view id=3980 [D3D error was 80070057]
Please try to reinstall video card drivers or install the latest available ones. Check your DirectX version and Microsoft Visual C++ updates
thanks for the tips.
i ran dxdiag, and found no issues, and i have no pending windows updates.
i have a GPU driver update pending, but it was released 2 days ago, following this crash event. of course i will install it, but im unsure if it is related.
installed new nvidia drivers, did a clean install not an express install. crashes on launch every time.
i realize this is a beta, but still, not being able to actually launch is a problem that needs addressing. All other steam games launch, even SteamVR which is notoriously unstable when in an oculus headset. My system is perfectly stable.
i’m beginning to question why i even bought this game, the dev team doesn’t even seem to acknowledge they are investigating issues.

Now in you logs there is information about out of memory
Could not allocate memory: System out of memory!
Trying to allocate: 1697824B with 32 alignment. MemoryLabel: VertexData
Allocation happened at: Line:171 in
Memory overview
Try setting pagefile size to automatic: How to Change the Windows Pagefile Size – MCCI . And restart PC
If you have set it as automatic and still crashing then maybe try setting custom value using this tutorial: Adjust Page File Windows 10 (How to Set the Right Size)
i have a 5gb page file already and 32g of physical RAM. sorry but if people are playing the game with 8gb (min req), this is not a solution.
I actually just got the game to launch by restarting steam a bunch of times, but when entering the world, the loading screen stayed in place; i could move, interact, attempt to cast, all behind the loading screen.
i’m just going to stop playing until the next patch, and if it fails to launch following that i’ll just uninstall and play PoE while i wait for D4. Don’t have the patience for this nonsense.
