No, they aren’t. Meta builds are simply the top performing ones. Non-meta builds are any build that isn’t meta.
You can do pretty much all content with almost any build in PoE1. And yet, only a handful of them are meta.

Meta is sth on which the majority agrees to be the way to go. Thus it needs a disticntivly recognizable advantage. So, meta is not “slightly” or “a little” bit above non-meta, but definite, agreeable, obviously, recognizable or simply by far! Stop this ridicolous attempt of gaslighting!
The only thing is bothering me is DoT’s on dodge characters, coz DoT’s you know don’t give a shit about dodge and some boss attacks looks like hit, but they are dots actualy. This is some stuff I need to cook to understand.

The situation that killed you has nothing to do with meta builds existing or not.
If you have 100 builds that do 100 damage each and you have 5 builds that do 101 damage, those 5 builds are meta, even if they are not vastly above the others.
I don’t think you know what that actually means. People disagreeing with you isn’t gaslighting.
Anyway, there is no point in arguing with you any further. You’re not interested in having an actual discussion. You just want to insult and vent and dismiss any attempt of people actually helping you.

You know game have layers of defences? 5k ward or 5k hp literaly nothing without layers. Try to survive in poe with 5k hp and zero eva/arm/dodge
What you need to knwo is ehp and max hit dmg for each type of damage plus hit/dot

and again, my builds don’t have to much dps, stop imaging things. Because for new players defence (fat) builds better, they are more mistakes forgiving.

I would start by getting a proper helmet, because your current one is pretty much useless.
I think you are keeping the relic because of the mana spent gained as ward implicit, but you seriously should find another one. You also have 2 T2 affixes on your belt, so that is another thing to change for something better.
Invest in other defenses than just relying on ward.

Given it was the cold DoT from this, none of those stats were relevant & he did actually have 69% cold resist…
It’s not, it’s a dps option (lightning skill, shock chance, lightning pen).
Its completly insignifcant on that corruption level with 5k. I was playing with 2,2k on ~300 already without any issues. And as heavy stated, 300-600 corruption easy. So i guess we both agree that with 5k ward even with low other layers ~110 should be4 possible, correct? Its simply a matter of mathematics.
