I seem to get occasional crashes that either kick me from game or completely reset my PC.
Playing offline (not full - still have chat), I’m using a sentinel with Rive and the sword minions.
Normally this happens when changing zones or using the map to port. It happens occasionally. I can go an hour without but then, once it has happened, I tend to get the same but when I’m trying to log in and this will then persist for 5-6 attempts. When logging in again I either get nothing at all (steam tries to play the game and just reverts to the play button) or full system reboot as mentioned above.
I’m using a RTX 4090, Intel i9, 32GB RAM, Win11 64 bit. I’ve verified the integrity of the steam files on a number of occasions, I’ve rolled my GPU driver back to December and have now reupdated to recent, I’ve tested with and without other apps running, which doesn’t seem to change the issue.
Now regularly getting the Unity error and crash and it often shows as not closing in steam. This will normally require a restart or it might force a reboot.
Starting to lose the will to keep playing in all honesty
It crashes every time I try to enter the Sapphire Quarter. Tried validating again, complete uninstall, tried with and without VPN and as the above post again.
I’m at a loss. Game is now unplayable, so I’ll not bother until I get a reply here.
Since the launch of 1.2, I had zero issues with the game — entering the Monolith and blasting through Weaver Echoes was smooth. But then, out of nowhere, after loading into the next Weaver Echo, I got a normal loading screen followed by a black screen… and it completely froze my PC. I had to do a hard restart.
I’ve already tried deleting everything under AppData\LocalLow and reinstalled the game. It runs fine, but as soon as I click on that Weaver Echo, it instantly crashes — black screen again, and another forced PC restart. This also happened during a different Monolith event, so it seems more widespread.
I’ll open a separate thread and also submit a ticket to EHG. Hopefully, they can look into this and get a fix out soon!
So I’ve tried a number of things, but what seems to have worked is a clean GPU driver uninstall (I used DDU when disconnected from the internet) and restart, then reinstall the NVIDIA driver. I’ve managed to get passed the bit that kept crashing and played for roughly 1hr without issue so far.
Other things I’ve tried:
Verify integrity of game files
Delete shader files then verify integrity of game files
Delete app data files then verify integrity of game files
Complete uninstall and reinstall
changed power plan to Eco (can resolve a 13th/13th gen Intel issue)
