Because screw us players who plays Legacy with our existing characters:
I know Glyph of Envy works on normal timeline, BUT that is, ONLY IF you haven’t unlocked the Empowered version yet:
But once you’ve already unlocked Empowered, all the stability siphoned just straight up goes there EVEN you clearly did an echo in NORMAL timeline beforehand. Which alone, sounds like a “waste of time” to me for testing this.
I’ve decided to revisit my old characters and try different builds on them but since screw me for playing Legacy, I’ll have to do it AGAIN on a different character even I’ve ALREADY completed these Lv90 Timelines months or a year ago.
Because it feels is so awful to run NORMAL timeline (because it REALLY IS) on how slow it is to get stability. Even with Legacy with already a lot of existing items and stuff I’ve got, it IS much slower to to Normal timeline compared to doing Empowered that doesn’t make sense to me. It’s an older and “weaker” content, why would that take more time to finish than newer and “stronger” ones like in Empowered?
Or just make Glyph of Envy add stability on BOTH timeline versions at the same time. I don’t know.
Poor guy:
Really hoping the game would acknowledge these kind of stuff when meeting certain requirements on new upcoming content for existing characters. Right now, I feel getting screwed for playing Legacy.
Edit: I know this is much better than making a new character. But at least it’s a lot way more “natural” in terms of progression for new characters which oddly sounds a lot more enticing.
Right, I probably skimmed & missed that part. So you’re trying normal because you’re doing a new uild on an old character which might not be capable of doing empowered. Ok, that doesn’t sound unreasonable.
It’s not about build or being capable of doing Empowered or not. It’s literally the first link I included, and I put it there for a reason. I was doing normal in Lv90 Timeline (and probably continue to do more of it) because Shattered Road is locked on my old character despite I’ve already completed all Lv90 Normal timeline and already have Empowered unlocked months or a year ago on my old characters. But the game expects me to do Lv90 Normal timeline AGAIN just so I can access Shattered Road…
Because EHG refuses to acknowledge this. I even included a bug report of another guy in my post which was also ignored from months ago. Because I also think Glyph of Envy suddenly not working on Normal Timelines once you’ve unlocked Empowered feels weird. Although I agree with your first reply:
Because you are absolutely right on this one. I just find it weird the glyph does that sort of thing afterwards without any warning.
So the rest of my post here is just a band-aid fix because like I said, EHG is not doing anything about it. And it’s probably a lot easier to code/program it in way Glyph of Envy works on Normal Timeline, than EHG making a code and in-game checks to see if a character that you logged in already have met the requirements to access Shattered Road.
And this will probably continue for future updates with certain existing requirements. This is more unrelated to my first link in this thread but let me give you another example:
We didn’t use to have Sanctum of the Architect waypoint before. But I’ve seen people in forums request it a lot back then so EHG added one. I’ve beaten the story already (Majasa) and even killed Aberroth, but EHG didn’t consider that people who’ve already gone through this part of the story have it automatically unlocked. I know its such a pretty minor issue. I just found it annoying to go through 2 maps just to reach there with enemies way below my level and the map were pretty big too.
I that was fixed already and now you can unlock shattered road doing one of the top 3 monos as empowered. At least that’s how I unlocked it on an alt about a month or two ago.
Altough when I did that, I still didn’t have that harbinger for the quest, so I don’t know if that factors into it.
I’ll give it a try later because I guess I don’t really have other choice. And assuming what you said is true, this doesn’t solve the problem though. The game is still making me do Empowered I don’t even want to grind to because I don’t need anything there at the moment. My Blessings in these Lv90 TImelines are already in the “ok”-ish rolls and I also don’t need the Timeline-exclusive drops in these Monoliths. When I could be grinding other Empowered Monolith for my current-trash roll Blessings.
