From what I’ve seen here on the forums and on the game chat, you need to go do one of the top 3 monos but kill the boss at level 90, not empowered. That will unlock it for alts.
This is only an issue for this cycle because you already had higher level characters, otherwise it would make perfect sense because it’s a point where all your new alts will have to go through.
Alt characters will get access to the shared Harbinger progress(and Shattered road) after killing their first level 90 monolith boss(which will spawn a Harbinger to kill) which also unlocks Empowered Monoliths.
This is great for newly made Alt characters as they can skip the other two lvl 90 monos to go into Empowered.
This however, sucks for existing characters that are already in Empowered/High corruption as you have to go back and trudge through a level 90 Mono which feels like a major waste of time (especially if you have multiple characters).
Hopefully, they change it to make it so any Monolith boss above level 90 can spawn the first Harbinger.
Another note, this first kill counts for the quest progression disregarding the corruption requirement so you can skip the last 3 corruption requirements by just triggering it on new characters in the three level 90 monoliths(this also should be fixed IMO).
I just killed the L90 age of winter boss and I didn’t get Harbinger spawning. Does this mean I need to do the other 2 L90 to unlock empowered, and this will unlock the shattered road? What does the shattered road have in it?
If this is your first character yes, you need to do all 3 lvl 90 monos. If youve already done that on your main & this an alt it should happen on the first lvl 90, as I understand it though I’ve not got that far yet.
Anyways, why isn’t there a proper fix for this? Why EHG hasn’t even considered existing characters before the Harbingers update to have it already unlocked? I had to go through the mind numbing and boring non-empowered monolith grind as well as doing the first 2 story quests just to unlock it where I could’ve been grinding in empowered or doing something else in the game, and it took a while despite it’s just a walking simulator with Warpath.
Please when you implement something new especially these “unlocks” where old/existing characters have already met the conditions, why not have those characters have them unlocked as soon as they log in? Or have some main NPC of that new content or something do some character flag checks to see if they have already met the requirement?
Please have older/existing characters in mind when doing something like this in the future. Because I, a filthy legacy player, will have to go through these kind of grind on stuff I’ve already completed just to unlock the new content and let me tell you, it’s not fun.
I know you guys make content mainly for Cycle players but stuff like this happening in Legacy is like telling us Legacy players “screw you for playing legacy”.
