Adjust your loot filter to be more particular about what you pick up. If you are Trade Guild just adjust further for the rarer items.
Nopeā¦explore more futher and you will find out most best items are those which you perfectly craft and min/max. Crafting is fun and little bit about luck. You can have thousands of items of unique quality but only one is true shiny pearl wich you need. And its only on you if you will use right legendary potential or combination with other items.
In next cycles will be much more higher tiers i guess. From what i seen people who plays versions before release talks about T12 in those times few years backā¦but i think they dont want to serve us all and see reality progress of people on leaderboard etc.
Isnāt this to kind of a term to use? If Iām not wrong itās more likely to be hit by a lightning twice.
Iāve been thinking about jumping to MG. I just hit 81 and am only rank 6 in CoF. As a casual player, I can only get on a few times a week. I had a couple questions though,
Is is difficult to level MG to the point where I can buy Uniques?
Half the stuff Iām wearing on my minionmancer was found with the CoF lootsplosions. I read if I switch I cannot wear that anymore. True?
Many thanks for the discussion.
The progression for MG and CoF is pretty much the same, from what I can tell, in regards to time required to grind reputation.
But you can buy 0LP uniques pretty fast.
You have to remove all your gear to switch, but you can wear again anything that isnāt marked as CoF.
Oh that could be devastating. And I just got Exsanguinous last night too in a star chart drop :(.
I will give it a try. Iām not so far in Iāll ruin my character or anything. Iām sure Iāll have to adjust to the amount of purples dropping afterwards.
If theyāre marked as CoF in the item (bottom right) you wonāt be able to wear it. If itās not, you can wear it back. Likewise for anything you have in your stash. I donāt know if you can sell anything picked up as CoF, though, even if itās not marked. Havenāt tried switching myself.
About 3-4 hours is about how long it takes if I remember right to get to rank 4. It slows down after that. Rank 3 unlocks uniques and Rank 4 unlocks idols. Just these ranks alone allow you to buy the things to comfortably farm empowered monoliths with a full build.
if you can afford to buy them
I did make the jump after the post this morning. It was a little disheartening to see an item I have been searching for readily available at rank 3 so long as itās not LP.
Iām going to give it a shot. I donāt particularly like that if you swap, you canāt keep the gear from the other faction on. That really hamstrings you if you want to go the other way. Thankfully I only lost a belt, ammy, and chest. I had some spares in the stash Iām using now.
Do you see yourself ever getting into a position where you can just buy everything you need, so why even farm?
My fully empowered monolith build took an absurdly small amount of gold. Tons of items are selling for practically zero, maybe due to the high supply, but thatās the reality. BiS gear will sell for a lot, but entry level gear that allows you to blast Corruption 100-200 costs practically nothing in MG.
Yeah, imagine farming a boss all day for it and then finding out you can not only buy one but also buy one with GOOD ROLLS for cheap lmao.
I dunno guys, the fun of the game is the treasure hunt. If you take that away and just get all your gear from AH, why even bother to play at all? But you do you.
No, no, no you donāt get it. The treasure hunt isnāt worse in MG, its BETTER.
You are farming for the builds on your character sheet as CoF.
As MG, Iām farming for THOUSANDS of different builds from hundreds of thousands of characters. I have to fix my loot filter in some 200 IQ way to filter out chase items that drop so I can sell them for gold.
And then farming gold allows me to target farm items for myself.
Itās insanely satisfying.
LOL itās like playing the stock market ;).
I see both sides. My primary gripe is the grind rubs me the wrong way in this game. Last night I went for Dragonflames Edict, which I eventually got on the last run. Drops from that 85 island boss. I quite enjoy doing boss runs, as Iāve been doing them off and on for 20 years in D2/D2R. What I donāt like is the grind to āgetā to the boss. The stability farming, to get enough to do the quests, to then get a crack at the boss.
This was a 50% drop and it took 3 attempts. That was 20-30 areas worth of stability farming, to be allowed do the boss quest 3 times. I may not be doing a good job explaining it, but the āgrindā so to speak feels extra grindy in LE.
No, I get it. It makes total sense. But like I said, I enjoy getting drops
Iām always getting drops.
Always get drops ā Sell for gold ā Buy upgrades
Meanwhile in CoF
Pray to stars ā> Get tons of drops ā May or may not be good
Let me rephrase. I like getting drops that I will use. Itās just part of the game for me. Thatās why they created CoF, for people like me. I want nothing to do with the auction house.
Spoken like a true CoF enjoyer. I can respect that.
I played some last night, hit rank 3 with MG and I bought an Aarons Will for 350k/1500(favor?). Couldnāt believe it. Now the rest were listed in the millions alreadyā¦ which is itās own issue. But that brings me to the issue the rest of the MG community seems to be atā¦ all the good stuff is not purchasable until rank 8. When I took a peak at some rings, they were listed for 2mil for LP2 up to 50mil for LP3. Is that kind of gold obtainable?
Ironically enough, teh chest piece i lost from CoF swapping dropped in a random mono last night lol. So Iām right back where I was pre-MG already.
