Playing on controller.
I am playing a build that removes traversal from aerial assault, and insted uses smoke bomb to move. Smoke bomb works great, takes me where I want to go. However once i use aerial assault, the falcon goes way too far from me, kinda breaking the build. I have tried both control schemes (old and new) for the controller.
Is there something to be done, or should I just switch to a build that doesnt use aerial assault?
Thanks for the replies. New player here.

Use the bug report tool. It sends data to the devs, so it should help them tweak things. Just describe what happened and what should have happened instead.
Itâs especially useful for controller in this season because theyâre testing a new system for controller targetting, so all feedback is useful.

I have exact same problem. The patch notes say the below about updated controller targeting. I think they assigned âcast max forwardâ when it probably makes a lot more sense for that skill and passive combo to be âcast on selfâ. I was hoping it was a setting players could fiddle with but i dont think it is.
Gamepad Targeting
- âCast On Selfâ.
- âCast Max Range Forwardsâ.
- âCast on Closest Enemy in Rangeâ.
- âCast On Enemy in Forward Facing Coneâ.

Hey
Same here and I would think those options you are mentionning would be perfect depending on the preference. Now its unplayable. My bird is always off the screen lol

The guide Iâm using now has the following disclaimer:
Aerial Assault Targeting Bug
The Season 2 Patch introduced a targeting bug to Aerial Assault. It has been reported. This disclaimer will disappear the moment the bug is fixed
Even though it doesnât mention controller play, the fact that something is being done to address targeting on the skill might help. I would suggest you all to report it through the in game tool, under gameplay.
