Comparing this game to The Day Before is so disingenuous. That game was a complete scam, this one just had a much bigger influx of new players that they weren’t prepared for and they’ve actually made a lot of headway on the servers since 1.0 launch day. It ain’t perfect, but its getting there. You can argue they should have expected more than they did sure, but I don’t set my expectations as high for a tiny dev team compared to a big AAA studio
Day Before also shut down less then a week after launch, so there’s that
You telling me to grow up yet you’re here trying to tell me what I should or should not be complaining about when I bought a product expecting it to work, to me that is very immature behaviour and ironic.
Ok then what about Wolcen, same case they provided over 2h mark refunds for people. I can keep going on about how Steam has a very unclear stance on refunds and time and time again they go back on their word.
Was that a scam as well or does it not fit your narrative?
Didn’t play Wolcen so I can’t speak on that game, but usually steam gives the extended refunds on more extreme cases. If servers were still in the state they were on 1.0 launch day and the devs were radio silent, I’m sure steam would be handing out refunds like candy, but that aint the case
The children here normalizing products not being finished on release are the problem at hand. This is fine for a beta release or server test. If say I were to buy a house and the roof was not on it I would be upset. If i bought a vehicle and it ran only 1 hour of the day I would be upset. This is the same concept, sure it may not carry the same weight but it is just as relevant. Everyone is now normalizing the release of unfinished products which is why most of steam is “early release” with many never reaching a full release. Most of it now seems that if they promise a full release it becomes a cash grab so they can polish a game within a year or so.
So if the devs continue to post updates on discord its okay that they delay this issue for as long as they have? Okay then by all means keep the updates coming and I will see you next month.
What is the use in these updates if there is no sign of it being fixed, no ETA etc.
If I were to keep saying to my boss I’m working on the issue and after a considerable amount of time the issue still wasn’t fixed I would be fired, no amount of “but I was working on it” would save me from getting kicked out of the door. I don’t understand why people have developed this idea that we should have different expectations for game developers than in any other work sector…
It’s been getting better every day, that’s my point. Day one It took me like 2hrs to get in and after that I spent most of the time just trying to go from zone to zone failing. Today and yesterday I was blasting through the game no problem. that’s improvement right there
Is this dumpster fire really down again?
You’re entitled to your opinion, it doesn’t hurt my feelings at all. Just giving you a different perspective.
where did you buy the vehicle from? used car lot? private owner? what was the ad for/stating about the car?
you see how this analogy does not work ?
same thing for the house…
what was its condition when you bought it? did you invoke squatters rights? was the hole there before hand? maybe it was and you didnt kno?
ahhhhh please use analogies that will work.
Try switching your server, europe seem to have an issue anyway as you are immidatly transitioned to another server anyway to instance your game.
I am from EUW and it’s almost impossible to play (online unavailable), but I’ve been playing fine (a bit of lag) on US servers right now.
I usually wait for a few days for a launch to stabilize and I have been playing LE for years in early access, but at this point the situation is almost undefendable and people talking about lost ark and other stuff have a brief memory because yes, they were all vary bad releases but I don’t think I have ever seen a launch problem still not fixed after 4-5days.
I just wanted to inform people who want to play to switch servers for now until the right one for them is fixed, but I understand the wanting to get a refund.
I see you don’t understand what a finished product means. With this being said, I purchased a home, or a build for a home that was supposed to be completed (or in this case a full release). Say this home didn’t have a roof on the day of taking ownership, big problem. I buy a new vehicle that is to be completed at time of purchase and it doesn’t run but 1 hour of the day, big problem. Really isn’t a hard concept to grasp much like the analogy.
Or say I came to McDonalds your place of employment and you forgot to put a hamburger on my cheeseburger, I would be upset.
are the online servers down again ?
keep trying i just logged in after like 6 attmepts
Two hundred thousand people aren’t trying to use your brand new house all at the same time. It’s not the same concept at all. But lets go ahead and use your bullshit idea anyways and make it a restaurant instead, yeah?
So two hundred thousand people crowd outside your restaurant that you started in a location where you expected maybe a few tens of thousands, maybe even a single hundred thousand on your first week of open. Wow, it’s so busy! You don’t have enough room, your staff are run ragged, nobody has any time for breaks, you’ve run out of food, now you have to get extra staff to go get emergency groceries that you won’t even make a return on, and everyone is saying “Wow the food is great! 1 out of 5 stars because literally more people than exist in this city are trying to get a seat.”
Think for a minute before making a comparison that isn’t even remotely close to the situation at hand, and recognize that you know nothing about how it functions from the inside. It’s never as simple as it seems.
worst explanation in history of explanations to something that was technically right…nice attempt EHG team member in disguise.
I read a lot of terrible bull, but yeah…call Guinness book
Well then your boss sucks and so does your place of work. In fact, it shows how little you actually know about the industry to think that this isn’t happening with the vast majority of apps and projects developers on every single release for even the most mundane things, like bank APIs or the software that runs self checkout machines.
By the way, game is working now, so you can quit your bitching, you petulant child.
Awh you got triggered, how cute.
your analogies dont fit here. sadly you are too stupid and pathetic to realize that.
