Lost Ark was definitely a way worse release then this game has been. There were issues with basically everything i remember waiting and waiting and waiting. At least ive been able to play last epoch pretty consistently, have been having some more issues tonight though. I played for a pretty lengthy session last night with no issues.

Online play unavailable at 8 am in the morning, Thats new, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
PoE has been around for more than 10 years⊠they have had a bunch of time to learn from their mistakes⊠and the way people played and connected to games 10 years ago is much different than now. You canât compare a seasoned company to one who launched their first game 4 days ago. Itâs ridiculous.

I guess, since servers are easy scalable resource, the game have an architectural problems, that prevent easy performance scaling, and it lays somewhere deep in game code and not easy to fix at all

How am I toxic? Iâve been relatively positive these last couple of days but my patience has worn thin, its unacceptable for the game to still be in this state for 4 whole days and thereâs very little updates from the developers to ensure us that this is being fixed⊠Enough is enough.
Theyâve mentioned working on the backend code several times now. Server space is easy and all, but the backend needs to be able to support it, so youâre kinda right. Itâs fixable tho, and if anyone else tried playing on day one, itâs obvious to see that the servers are WAY better than they were.
I just tried loggin in for the first time today after reading these doomthreadders. Took me about 3.5 mins of attempting to login to actually get in. i understand the frustration but at a point itâs just entitlement. if youâre unhappy refund. otherwise just try a few times and you will get in lmao.
Yeah Iâve literally been playing the entire day and havenât had a single issue until right this second. Itâs made huge improvements

I literally cannot get in, says online play unavailable its not doomsaying its just a fact, I restarted the game several time same issue.
Back in the day, studios had to actually have physical servers at time of release and it was really challenging to anticipate response from the public at large. Now with cloud-based hosting and such, it is a lot different proposition for companies to be prepared, and thus, correct for scalability issues. We are the end-users here of which most players donât understand the multiple layers involved in planning, designing, programming, building, testing, troubleshooting, etc a modern live-service game. Plus not to mention all the other players involved on the back-end outside of the studio, such as the cloud-based service provider, whether it be Google, Amazon or Microsoft. I have been a programmer for much of my life, and it is still mind-boggling to me the amount of complexity involved in creating such a thing as an online game nowadays.
