1.0 Server Status Thread

Good luck fixing and do a big reset for bringing back the same chances to everyone. A lot of people are willing to compete the race. Make it fair #resetpls

I did think a Wednesday launch was an odd choice, but I can imagine it is in hope to have things operational by the weekend. Hope the teething issues won’t leave a sour taste for too many. I look forward to jumping in fully in due course!

honestly i think everyone should have thought that 1mio sold you should prepare for way more then 150k even

Hope all of you devs are keeping hydrated and getting food. Your health before the game. I’m really looking forward to contunue playing.

Here’s a stopgap solution that could work but not sure how feasible it is. Announce a one time only offline character migration from offline to online.

This will accomplish two things:

One, people won’t feel bad about playing offline for whatever reasons they have. Personally I want online to be able to play with friends. Many will want online so they can trade.

Two, it will help give a more accurate player count in order to anticipate server loads. I noticed the player count on steam charts spike and it’s dipping faster than should be expected on launch day.

That means that a lot of people, including me, are simply waiting until the situation is resolved before attempting to get back on. That itself is an issue as when things seem better you’ll be hit by a huge wave of players that will probably take the servers down again.

At least that’s how I can see it going. So I see no reason not to at least attempt the stopgap solution if it’s possible.

Back to Warframe I go where they just launched mobile yesterday and it worked immediately and still does! FULL port too, prefer it over switch when not playing on PC. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a FREE looter shooter to pass the time.

Hopefully you guys can figure out what’s going on and get a fix going within a few more hours. It’s kind of expected that things go wrong with an online launch though.

Warframe FTW!

Big shocker. After seeing the lag issues during Early Access for the last year or so, I didn’t have much hope for a smooth launch.

Good luck, devs, a bad launch day legit buries games with people review bombing. Hopefully LE doesn’t get its Very Positive rating bombed to the dreaded Mixed or below, but this is why proper multiplayer implementation and preparation is so important.

Anywho, hopefully you all get it fixed sooner rather than later. It could be worse, just look at the shit show going on over at Helldivers 2, lol.

It’s not like I don’t appreciate their hard work. But they dropped the ball heavily on this one and they should be held accountable for it.

Listen the issue with having 150k players is that’s a lot of electrons going in and out of the servers. when theres that many trust me they get all gooped up in the ethernet holes so you just gotta oil it a bit so they can flow smoothly. id normally charge 1k/hour for this kind of consulting but i’ll give you a discount. $800/hr take it or leave it. believe me i got more wisdom where this came from

While you might be right about the the second wave of server issues, allowing offline characters into the online game will taint the integrity of the game. It takes 2 seconds to mod your save file…

Ahh logs  don’t worry it just takes time you will find/fix it!
it happens

Don’t apologize for a company’s behavior. In the day and age we live in, there is plenty of time beforehand to properly stress test and rent additional servers for a ‘launch day’. This is just another situation of a company saying, “its good enough” and seeing what happens. Launches can go without major issues, they can go without minor issues. It all comes down to preparation and proper resource allocation to make sure money is spent where its needed.

Yep, you have every right to be upset they didn’t deliver on a product you paid for, and I have every right to be disappointed people like are you willing to throw such a fit over something not going your way. I guess I’m glad I have patient and I don’t expect life to go my way all the time. Again, you don’t have a clue what is happening, please be patient and gather information before publicly complaining is all I’d ask.

That wont work. Lots of important stuff for offline is done and stored on your local computer. Like, the offline version could be hacked a lot easier. Someone could import hacked items, and everything else.

They have over a million reasons why this shouldn’t be happening. It’s a simple transaction, one made behind a monitor that requires zero empathy or sympathy from me. They failed and they need to fix their problem, period.

I don’t have to accept their failure and I dont have to accept this constant failure from them or any other company. Just because it’s a common occurrence for launches doesn’t make it acceptable. For you to even think of arguing the contrary is humorous to me.

You can feel whatever you want to feel. Just as I dgaf how you feel. :man_shrugging: So please don’t tell me or anyone what is necessary from them. :fu:
