I don’t wanna play several hours offline just to do it again online when this gets sorted. I don’t understand how the offline mode somehow fixes the issue. If I was going to play offline anyways sure. But I’m not gonna restart the game because devs couldn’t get online mode working.

Cloud computing is a huge business. It’s easy to rent server space and scale it as needed.

I was anticipating/okay with waiting to get in at launch.
Then came EHG backed race to 100… Now it is frustrating seeing 40-50 players climb the leaderboard while I can’t get it
I’d imagine that it gives him the power to use proper quote tags that don’t require scrolling (would be nice).
The salty children have no real interest in playing the game, they just want to be included in the Rage drama, you can wait a couple of hours or play offline mode.

Guys, we broke the servers. No, I’m not talking about right now by trying to log in, but later on when we all use our epochs to do the whole Timelord thing. Our future selves are all coming back here to this moment to experience the nostalgia of 1.0 launch, including people who don’t even own the game yet.

Cosmetics available in offline?
Zero idea why they’d not be available, I get that it’s in the fine print, but this server issue - while understandable - just makes me want to stick with offline.
Paid for the game and a supporter pack but can’t use the items in offline mode… so bizzare.
That’s not how servers work my man, noone buys a server nowadays to put it in the office. You pay for how much server capacity you use in cloud. Current outage is an example of very bad cloud engineering. All well-designed servers are easily scalable to unlimited capacity as long as you are paying for resources it takes.

You think a small studio with a ton of unsolicited streamer advertisement is supposed to have a better launch than a AAA studio? Don’t get me wrong, AAA’s are buggy, but they put everything they can into the game working on launch day so they can start farming your pocketbook asap. GGG is doing fine and is communicating well with everyone, get over yourself.
Thanks for the consistent updates! I know it’s hard to keep updating us while troubleshooting and scaling.

Seriously, new release. Happens. Play offline and get your build figured out while you have fun. Need I remind you that ALL companies, FF14 Bliz everyone has these issues. Relax. Go outside look at the daylight if you don’t want to play offline. Give these guys a break.

Who would have thought that on launch day your servers would be overloaded!
Tried Log-in-queues=? PoE does that very well, but looking left and right is hard I guess!
Tweaking your servers pre launch or communicating with GGG how they do it seems to be too hard I guess.
Long login-times were anticipated but NO games whatsoever is just downright ridiculous!
