[0.8.5 updated] Kryce's Manifest Armour & Shield Throw | Simply Unethical damage

Unsure, probably because the information is available and can be used by people “who know”.
See this: 8.4 Legendary Potential Guide - Last Epoch - YouTube

  1. It’s clearly stated in db that it’s “Effective Level for Legendary Potential”, it’s not “min zone level”, not sure where this idea comes from
  2. It might be useful for comparison sake
  3. Why not

Hey, why do you prefer javelin over ring of shields?

I personally dont like using RoS because it takes ricochets from the shield throw meaning you dont ricochet the MA as much = less spinny spinny damage… It still works and makes your char more defensive but its frustrating…

Hi, RoS also provides a source of healing and he took the Passives to trigger RoS, so he will have them flying around anyway.

The passive is only a 3% RoS chance (if I recall correctly)… in my experience it virtually never procs… As I understand it, the OP took the passive for the 150% increase for minions…

As I said before (and in detail in the above thread), RoS makes you much more defensive so yes, you heal and get defensive options but you have to be willing to sacrifice hitting the MA i.e. damage… I am currently using it and testing out ways it can work, like not taking +shield nodes but it still catches 1/3 of my MA hits (subjectively) so that a lot of less damage overall…

And I have found that the Javelin healing is pretty adequate in all but the harder boss fights…

Just to add on to what vapour has said, i took a gander at the RoS tree and I assume you are getting the heal on shield death node.

Disregarding the loss of damage from your shield throw ricocheting off your shields, the heal is only on shield death. So if your shields don’t die when you want them to, you don’t get healed. Javelin on the other hand, heals you as long as you stand in its AOE while providing damage and armour per attunement. Just this fact alone is alone is worth taking jav over RoS.

Even if you ignore the above, RoS has a high mana cost and a long cooldown. While mana may not be a problem, it will be when you get a decent amount of throwing speed on both rings (assuming you’re also using the 3 ricochet shield throw which has 7 mana cost instead of 4). Keep in mind we have to cast sigils which are 27 mana as well.

Also keep in mind javelin also functions as our movement skill. Without it, goodluck moving out of julra’s void degen.

There’s the Healing Shields node that should help every 3 seconds but is currently bugged.

Hi, thanks for the replies. That makes it clearer. I was referring to the nodes llama mentioned, but now I have a better understanding. Thank you

Hey, would you be able to do a (short) build guide or showcase for your devo smite character? It’s one I’m working towards and I’m interested to see how the attunement stacking looks

This is what the character looks like. I stopped working on it because it felt slow. It is very tanky and can sustain it’s life pool very reliably even with only 1 point in the reduced smite health cost.

I might revisit it if I get lucky with legendary cullinvar’s, prism wraps and stormtide.

Started this build a few days ago and just hit empowered, my first 100 corruption orobyss literally died in 2 seconds, this build is actually so stacked and I just have the “well rolled maw with prismatic gaze” set up.

Thanks for the guide its definitely a character I plan to grind out.

Thanks, I dropped a bastion of honour yesterday so I’m definitely going to try and work towards this version. It’s my first character so I’ll let you know how far I push it

Just a little update on this build if anyone is interested… This is rapidly becoming my favourite build after 1.5k hours in LE and I havent even min/maxed it yet.

I only use the boots & ring uniques and havent found a legendary Apathys yet but I am cruising through 200+ corruption without a care in the world… doing around 450k crit damage almost constantly on the dummy at level 100. I dont even have ideal gear - only rares on the MA active items and a few mismatched exalts…

Cannot stress how important it is to ignore your own character and make sure whatever you have boosts the MA appropriately first. From an offensive perspective, all you need is throwing speed/one -throwing mana and as many debuffs as you can - you dont need to do damage directly… I barely tickle mobs with Sthrow but I stack multiple 15+ debuffs on them so fast that by the time MA gets to them they are useless in every way and the MAs damage is boosted to crazy levels. Defensively, I cannot stress how well debuffing works too… things like chill, blind & frailty work wonders in actually protecting you until your MA deals with the threat… All you need to do for yourself is get the resists/CA/Health and Attunement… you can ignore everything else…

Skills wise: Javelin as a defensive skill is very good… the regen allows you to ignore most DoTs and quickly heal you from any other damage. After much testing I use Smite instead of RoS for fantastic healing of both you and the MA, the increased attack speed node and blind chance… I dont use it for damage at all… Works REALLY well in my opinion - my MA health hardly moves even in Oro fights… You either tap Smite yourself or (as I do) use the Smite on throw idol (sacrificing a little health)… Smite, Javelin & MA all scale with attunement so its a match made in heaven… I have a single T7 attunement affix and its crazy how much it boosts all aspects of this build.

Anyway… great build and more importantly it doesnt actually NEED top tier gear to work and be fun… It even works without the uniques, although to a much lesser degree…

I have crap gear havent even look at most of my stats yet and I am doing okay in empowered too.

This build is fun and can clear

I started this one from scratch on a new character. Currently sitting at the beginning of Blood. Frost, and Death timeline (un-empowered). I’ve not yet had an easier time with any character, this thing simply destroys. Of course, if there’s a way to screw something up, I’m generally the guy who can find it. Guess I’ll wait and see how things go at 100, hehe

The build is amazing, but has anyone already created a filter for that?
I discovered that if you use the one that is coming from last epoch tool that was linked above it is not good… I tried to modify it, but never done up to now… and nothing good is showing up…

This build is amazing. ‘Unethical’ indeed. Thank you : )

@Darkwave76 ^^

(Note: I’ve disabled all yellow relics in this filter - it’s mine right now - you’ll probably want to add that back in again. Let me know if this helps, or you have questions : )

Thanks a lot.
Just a question - why you kept also +level of Rive?
I see this also in the original one that is created by Last Epoch Tool (starting from the build posted originally).
I see that you added the other skill that we use in the build, but you kept also Rive… maybe I am missing something…

Thanks
