I’ve been trying to get into the Arena but when I try, the game freezes up completely and I’m forced to close it. This happens every time after the hotfix that was released today. Yesterday it was fine.

Is the problem still happening after that update?
I’ve had the same problem today (last night was fine)
I tried entering an Echo & the game froze when I clicked on the travel button.
I then tried the Arena, & the game froze when I clicked Enter Arena (on restart I had lost the key)
After shutting down Steam & restarting I tried the Monolith again, this time I made it to the Echo loading screen but the game froze again.
These are the log files from the crashes.
1 is the Echo crash (when I made it to the loading screen), 2 is the Arena crash.

Have you tried to verify the game files through Steam? With all the updates, maybe some files are messed up?
Also… can you post your system info and in-game settings ini.
I verified the game files & had this message pop up in Steam “2 files failed to validate and will be reacquired”
After a 1.5GB download I tried again, but the issue persisted.
I logged a different character & tried open world portals, this worked but the once again the
echoes froze the game.
When I relogged the original character I was suddenly able to enter echoes & so far everything is working again.

I’d run the Steam verification a few times - sometimes it seems like it doesnt complete the update properly and a second run is needed to make sure…
Also… if you check the technical forums you will see threads about instability related to performance - if you are running on higher in-game settings, problems pretty similar to your freezing / crashing can happen… If you do get a crash again and the Steam verification finds nothing, then you may want to drop your in-game quality settings to very low/disabled iwht 60fps framerate limited and test if this has any impact on the stability…

I validated the files and got 3 files that failed, and I also lowered my in-game setting. That seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks!
