Hey, I’ve been attempting a very similar build to this. I feel like it shouldn’t work but it kind of does in a weird way. I do suspect a lot of the other CF builds around are going to scale a lot better though (only level 75 right now). But don’t know for sure, I’m a total newb
Yeah the idea is to have penance, torment, and bone curse running (bone curse not specced but there for stacking curse damage from the class passives) with zombies and profane veil dropping infernal shades that spread and vomit shredding armor. Converting zombie damage to fire and then getting ignite overload in the passives too. Profane veil for cursing, damage, and escapes.
Right now at 28 since I’ve taken more mana efficiency nodes it’s starting to kill things pretty fast. It is mana intensive to start.
I think you can completely drop the idea behind Chaos Bolt exploding your own Zombies. Zombie damages doesn’t scale at all with your Fire Damage or Damage over Time (only with Minion Damage and Int). So having them blast harder and in a bigger area doesn’t add much if they don’t do damage to begin with because you will most likely focus on Fire Damage and Damage over Time + if you want them to Shred Armor by Vomiting it’s a bit anti-synergistic.
In Zombies Tree I would try to grab the Kill Threshold replacing their Ignite chance because again those Ignites doesn’t scale with your own damage and triggering Ignite Overlord shouldn’t be an issue with Chtonic Fissure.
You also lack a Mark for Death trigger (+25% more damage on top of the +5% from Warlock Passive). Zombies or Veil could do that. It will be hard to manage the Mana cost for Zombies and Veil make you more vulnerable. You could specialize in Bone Curse instead of Chaos but you will only have Fissure & Veil as active skills. It’s really mana hungry with 3 fissures + all the automatic cast so It shouldn’t be an issue. Or grab it in the Necromancer Skill tree but it’s really expensive without good all around passive to grab along the way.

I run this build. I found i can somewhat melt bosses and minions so far, but zero survivability [no uniques or legenderies so far]. Gonna test more high level corruptions
How it works:
Fissure applies torment, ignite, slow, stun. Each adds 4% to dmg for 16%. Double fissure, each spawns zombie, applies poison on death (+4% dmg), and applies bleed with zombie explosion [4%] bonus damage
Chaos bolt [for large openers]: chaos bolts bonus stacks per second, increasing crit damage, dmg, multi bolts. [Chaos bolts stack 99 stacks of ignite] stack torment, and can ignite
Infernal shade: With right gear [burning avirece] [immolator oblivion] [fire dragon shoes] [dragon flame edict] [sun wreath + ashes of mortality], [soulfire]
Result is close to 45% fire resist shred, and infinite scalinf fire damage. As infernal shade scales off ignite and causes ignite same as chaos bolts
Profane veil [fire convert] mass trigger fire shade as also respawns zombies and generates ward.
I myself am farming said items. Result will impress
