I can’t say I blame you, it does seem like a pain. What’s your twitch, I don’t really use it but I don’t mind tossing it on the TV in the background since I always have a show or podcast running while I mindlessly do runs.

edit: worst case there’s always a written guide, not sure how you feel about that but I personally love reading. You could always find out how popular that would be or how receptive players are to that.

So BoH is not strictly superior, just conditionally.

Yeah, but taking everything into play, how is much easier to build damage than defenses due to how hard enemies hit, how melee enemies will always be affected and how easily you can turn on that “near” condition into your favor, and how also gives some extra stats that almost any build will welcome, can’t see a reason to use any other shield in almost any situation over BoH.

BoH is very strong, especially for Masteries that can’t invest into Block.
Even for Masteries that can invest into block it’s superior for nearby enemies.

But for enemies that are not nearby a well crafted rare or exalted shield is superior for non-nearby enemies and just slightly worse for nearby enemies, if you invested into block.

So BoH is not strictly superior, just conditionally.

Yes, but for the vast majority of builds that use shields (ie, melee builds), they’ll be within “nearby” range of mobs for 99.99% of the time.

I think you mean, it’s not as good as people portray it. Unless everybody else says the shield is bad & you think it’s better than they say.

What I think would be a good nerf, would be a change to BoH’s base type, with less block chance and block effectiveness.

Especially the block effectiveness would want builds using it still want to invest into block affixes on gloves and rings.

Reducing the block effectiveness would make it less impactful, but I really don’t think that there are going to be many enemies outside the “nearby” range for a change to the base block chance to be a consideration.

And before this confirmation, the so call “correct info”
was you have same chance to get LP with RoA.

And since we will never know exactly what a “little less chance to get LP with RoA” is, I prefer to to trust my own RoA experience that it is definitely not just a little less.

You can feel or think whatever you want.

Devs can always do mistakes too, but I would trust any information, that is coming from the devs 100%. (Especially when it comes from Trasochi, their Lead Dev)

EHG does not often comment on this, but when they do it is very insightful and accurate.

I am not sure what otehr “correct info” you are talking about, but I never heard or read somewhere, that RoA have equal chances.

I dont think theres anything wrong to reveal RoA has a lower chance to get LP in the first place.

Could have easily mention it in 0.84 patch notes since its intended.

Oh well, guess its part of the charm to do the guesswork and discover such stuff myself.
