Wide Spread Offline Game Issue

Psojed, sad and sorry to say, doing that did not work for me. I still can’t play offline. The best course for me I hate to say is to do what the video link says, I know that works, but like I said, I am left with nothing. Unless anyone here playing online wants to gift me a few items they no longer want that they think that might help. I can create an online character for that. At least that way I will have something, which would be better than nothing. But if no one can help out, I will perfectly understand.

Can you try backing up your saves/stash/filter files, then deleting the whole EHG folder, uninstall the game and resinstall? To see if that fixes anything.
If it does, you can then try to restore the saves/stash/filter. If it all works, great, if not at least we know where the problem lies.

Where are they please DJSamhein? Are they in the same Eleventh Hour Games Folder?

Yes. Save both the saves and the filter folders. Then delete the whole EHG folder, uninstall and reinstall and try to run offline without restoring the saves/filter folders first.

DjSamhein. Thanks, I really appreciate your help in this matter, but moer than that. You are appreciated. I am going to try that now. Thanks again. “Fingers Crossed”

DJSamhein. I did that and I even turned off the cloud setting using Steam. Now then, I was able to create a new character, but it is a completely fresh start, but I am going to now try and replace the filters and save files and see what happens. I’ll keep you posted.

Follow Up:
Djsamhein. I have been doing some much needed testing and I have discovered that it is definately the “Saves” Folder that is at fault. Is there a way to restore it back to how it was before? It is okay if not. My Filters folder works just fine and I have my loot filter loaded up with my fresh start offline character. The only one thing though that sucks about this, was that I was doing really well with an online character that I was using since my offline game wasn’t working. If I was to turn back on the cloud setting. Would that give me back my online save? Just curious.

I would hate to have to loose all of the stuff that I managed to get together with my online play. At least one good thing, we now know which folder is at fault.

You can try restoring one save at a time.
I have never played offline, so I don’t know how that’s structured, but you should have a save for each character.
You should also have a file for your stash. I would start with that one first. Restore the saves folder, then remove the stash file.
If it works, then the problem is in your stash. Otherwise, try adding one character slot at a time.

I think both the stash and the save files should have a .bak file. So once you identify which one it is, you can remove it and then rename the .bak file to see if that fixes it.
Otherwise the option would be to count it as a loss.
Or contacting support, I guess.

DJSamhein. I have tried the game without the cloud syncronisation being turned on and good news is. That I still have access to my online play and I now have access to my new offline character. Sadly for me, it would give me a headache, most likely a literal one for me having to remove one file at a time to find just the one file that could be at fault if the whole folder is not. But I am just going to call it a loss and start from scratch with my offline play, but I at least everything in my online play is all there, so over all, it’s not so bad and thanks to having at least my loot fiter in place that works very well, I have it to how I like it and there’s room for making it better in time. As it is now, I am happy with it, but I might find a way to make it even better. That’s the best thing about the loot filter, I can keep on refining it until I have at least for me personally, the Best Loot Filter ever. other peoples loot filters might put mine to shame and that’s okay. Each to their own Loot Fillter, as long as they are happy with theirs, I am also happy with mine. You have been really super major helpful. You’re really awesome, please stay that way.
