Why the golem?

If your not using Arrons will. What reason would you have to use golems over any of the other perm minions? Wraiths, mages and rouges all do FAR more DPS. And the golem is still Janky AF even with the new aggressive stance. He still just stands around half the time looking confused as other minion beeline for the enemy.

I run twinned golems for pathing reasons as smaller golems dont seem to get stuck at all. Also, there’s cold vengeance passive which adds up to 50 flat cold damage that I always grab. Golem do hold aggro really well which helps me focus on dodging attacks.

I just like zoo minion builds and golems fits nicely into cold theme of the whole pack… well at last to like 600cc LOL

If you are not using Aaron will, the golem is sub-optimal against any other minion. The abomination can tank better, and all of the others do much more damage.

The problem is using Aaron will, as there are absurdly better options. Aaron will should be a costly perk within the skill tree.

As it stands, Aaron will is just a meme build. Too bad as the golem looks dope.

agreed. Even in a Zoo build you can make a half assed Abom that agros as well as golem and does WAY more DPS than golem and is WAY more durable than Abom.

Did they buff Aaron’s Will? When I first have seen it it was a net loss on a golem build.

No they did not. But it’s the only build where golems matter (even it if is only a net loss meme build).

Yeah but I did a Golem build arround the time when AAron’s was introduced to the game and had no issues at all. Maybe since then Golem went a bit under and other skills got buffed more. At least Abom afaik got a lot of love.

Yes it is mostly that Abom got TONS better. Given that they play the same role in a zoo build (anchor for your Dread shade + agro makes them the damage sponge.) The Abom, even only half built, simply does fantastically better in that role than the Golem. On top of that the Abom can be fully juiced to be a one minion army all on its own.
