Why no multiplayer or open party options?

Hello,

I really like last epoch but one of the biggest flaws is that I cannot group with new people unless I friend them, like there is no open party creation. One of the main reasons I enjoy playing is to see other peoples build and play together, showing off your power / gear , mapping killing bosses together, not just with friends you have on your friendslist

I feel like there is not enough community involvement or togetherness playing, i get there is no pvp but more co-op options is def missing

This isn’t true, though. I’ve often partied with people directly from chat (usually to give them a lift somewhere) and I never added them to the friends list.

that is not the same as just opening up a party and people joining your game

Yeah, that option doesn’t really exist. Although you can join the “looking for group” chat and create parties that way.
I was just pointing out that you don’t need to add people to the friends list to create a party.

I know I want to throw in the suggestion because its a great game but the aspect is big piece of why i play

Me: Inviting said person over the chat.

What is the problem? A partyfinder is just another useless UI element. On the other hand one post on Steam or Discord will give you plenty of people to add who enjoy playing coop as well. I don’t see an issue here because there is no party finder. On top of it most H&S players play solo given my 26 yearish experience.

the interactions with players is what I enjoy. I don’t play an online game to play solo or vs comp if that makes sense

Then you should make a Feedback and Suggestions thread, rather than a general one.

Makes complete sense but there are options to find people. I mostly play with people who are already in my “H&S” friend group so I don’t have to pick up new players to begin with.

There is nothing wrong with your wish but I guess not many people are for it because that’s the fist time I can remember something like this appeared. On the other hand a lot of people want some kind of social group or guilds ingame to make stuff more easy to gobble up your friends in one group.
