i am sorry if a thread like this already exists but as the titel says why there is no ladder with the masochist challenge? I would love to see that. I guess a lot of people love masochist and want compete a little bit.
I want to here your thoughts and leave comments below.
Do you find this idea stupid or do you agree with me?
Iād definitely at least try playing it if it had a ladder:) Without one thereās little incentive. Having a ladder for would also make sense considering the kinds of players that would be drawn to an extreme challenge. Seems like an easy thing to add. Would be fun.
From what I have heard from more involved players, with ARPGs the most āhardcoreā content usually ends up as the measuring stick for competition. EHG does not want the competitive aspect of LE to revolve around an artificial difficulty increase like masochist mode and for people to feel obligated to play on masochist to take part in said competition.
These are not my words, but I agree with them and havenāt seen anything to show otherwise from the devs.
Edit: Even if there is no ladder, I would like to see some kind of incentive. Maybe double the gold drop from that mode or some other loot modifier. Then, even without a ladder people who really want to chase loot will have a more challenging, yet more rewarding mode even without a leaderboard.
I mean you have already competition in every single mode. I mean let the people compete how they want. The players decide if they want to compete or not it“s not obligated at all. I would love to see that.
I agree to 100% that you have to reward the masochist challange. Its more engaging if you get better rewards.
It is very unlikely we will make a leaderboard for Masochist mode. This unbalanced mode is made for āfunā (itās not supposed to be fun lol) for players who already finished the game and wanted to try something crazy. Making a leaderboard would push the idea that this mode should be taken seriously. It will be unhealthy for players to feel like they need to judge themselves while playing a version of the game that is not representative how we want players to truly experience the game.
Do you mean you only play games or features that have a ladder? If a cool feature does not have a ladder (or anything equivalent), you donāt play it?
Itās just a question, Iām curious.
