Uniques vendoring for 500 gold feels like robbery. Most stuff vendors for so little it feels punishing to take the time even going through the process. Most people filter and pick up very little in the first place. Would it kill the economy to let us get a bit of gold from vendoring drops we don’t need?
just pick up gold, don’t bother picking up gear … 500 gold for a unique is probably worth selling but otherwise not worth the effort. The game seems to drop plenty of gold for you to grab without selling stuff.
edit: I’m assuming you are CoF? MG people would obviously sell the good gear in the AH.
Gear vendoring for very insignifant amounts is intentional as the devs want you to play the game rather than continually going to town to sell stuff. So, they made it this way to help you enjoy playing rather than constantly having to run back to town and interrupt your game play.
between each map you are already spawned right next to an npc. not only don’t you have to go to town, but in a way you’re even incentivized to talk to them, anyway, as to buy their runes of shattering.
Yes, but you’re now not running back to town frequently and then going back to finish the map you were in.
EDIT: I was giving you their reasons, which I understand and like the concept.
This way you don’t have to waste your time looking at gear you don’t care about and waste time vendoring it.
It’s part of the game balance. If it sold for more, then less gold would drop and EVERYONE would have to pick up, look at, and vendor all their trash. Is that really what you want?
Runes of shattering, since i hit large corruption i was able to buy experimental things, some rares have good affixes at merchant, sell uniques, items u dont need, idols u dont need etc. In future i think they will add more stuffs to buy. You can sell affix shards too it you will somehow select them to not be moved to your material inventory it you dont need them (lot of affix shards have price around 5, sometimes you can get affix shards with price tag 50 golds per one )
It’s a new system that was not fully tested till launch. They are getting good feedback on how to improve it. Just have to deal with how it is for now.
