Why 2 far chests as monolyth reward?

I don’t understand that idea. Why after i done almost every map except quest echoes, i can get map reward as fire blast in center, and 2nd reward as chest which is far enough to annoy me every time I pick it up, and also because runes or other valuable loot appear from there with delay. What’s a point of that chest??

The chest is there for general drops. I’ve gotten quite a few good drops from it.
But it is annoying that it’s so far away. I think they placed it there so that part of the “map” isn’t so empty.

I would definitely prefer for the chest to be where the NPC is and the NPC moved to where the chest is. Since I never interact with the NPC and I always interact with the chest.
This would make echo farming much smoother.

also would be good btw, if i would tped to some monolyth and was exactly in this room with stash, not near flying stone bridges everytime

Yeah, that’s been asked about in the past but Mike said it was hard to do technically on their part, for some reason.

Possibly because the bridges are part is the actual map and the echo of a world is some sort of bubble that exists outside of it, or where you’re moved to after an echo?
I don’t know the exact reason, but he did say it wasn’t that easy.

It certainly would be nice, for sure. Even to spawn there when you start the game if that’s where you were last.
Currently I know that immediately after starting the game and getting the loading screen to whatever hub I was last, I’ll have another loading screen immediately to get to where I actually want. It’s kinda annoying.
