Which skill benefits the most?!

Assuming in 0.8.1 that all skills can get +2 levels, which skill do you think will be the one to benefit the most? the least? Which one do you hope to try first?

The Most List (ill update as good arguments are made)

  • Meteor 2 Points can add either MORE damage MORE meteors or MORE area. All increasing its potential dramatically

  • Devouring Orb 2 points can make it possible to have more orbs active at once and reduce its mana cost!

  • Earthquake due to lots of “MORE” damage modifiers

  • Rive due to lots of “ADDED” and “MORE” damage modifiers

  • Death seal due to lots of “MORE” and increased Range/Frequency possible.

  • Flame ward will be able to generate additional ward and reduce damage taken

  • Sigils can get 5th sigil/increased armor/MORE damage bonuses

  • Vengeance can get additional MORE damage modifiers

  • Smite can get MORE damage/Crit Multiplier/Crit chance.

The Worst List (Ill Update as good arguments are made)

  • Lunge +2? Im usually done with it by 18 points

Unknown skills

  • Warpath?! will 2 points make the difference to bring it to a new level?!

Not looking at the skills atm, but doesn’t Earthquade have more “more” nodes than 20 points can possibly reach? Also, I think Rive has enough juicy stuff to really benefit from more points.

Death seal has more “more” multipliers than you can get atm. So that would benefit greatly although it doesn’t need the power

Yeah death seal definitely will have quite a few advantages. Its on of those tree that have 4 or 5 pathways that all benefit each other so 2 additional points will be nice.

For Sentinel, Lunge is “complete” with ~12 points. Warpath could also take more cost reduction. Smite could also go more damage/cost reduction/crit assuming you went for the lightning tendrils (or more of those). Vengeance could go more shred or damage reduction/ripostes. Sigil could get a 5th Sigil (which would be a significant buff but make it worse to play).

I think my main question just looking at them is: Are good skills just going to get better and “bad” skill just slag further behind?

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Yes, that will happen, though it’s possible that there are some “bad” skills that are “bad” because they can’t get enough good nodes.
