Hey guys, casual gamer here. Like to party with the wife and give her occasional hand-me-downs when I upgrade. I typically play a little more than her and sometimes find gear that would be good for her when she’s not logged in. As I understand it, we need to avoid SSF and play in the normal game mode, and then we will both pick the non-trade faction but will still be able to trade amongst ourselves using resonance tokens. From the videos I’ve watched it seems like Eleventh Hour came over to my house, talked to me about how I like to game, and then designed a system just for me :). It’s almost too good to be true, am I understanding it correctly?

Seriously, though. Yes, it’s as you described. Don’t choose SSF, both can choose CoF and you can trade at will between the two of you.
It should be noted that if something drops in a different area (or maybe one of you was playing alone for a while) you can still give it to the other player using a resonance but if something drops while both are in the same zone it can be immediately traded without restrictions or needing a resonance.
Just remember to adjust your filters, so you can see what the other players wants as well, since the loot is instanced.
