A bit of “feedback” first ; I’m playing softcore and have a lich, a forgeguard and a sorcerer all around lvl 65.
Lich and Forgeguard are nice to play but I had a blast playing sorcerer.
The way we are able to customize skills and passive feels amazing, how mana is handled is excellent. I love having a meaningful mana bar and not just having to stack enough regen to spam the spell I want.
I’m currently playing lightning blast with convergence (best skill ever) and elemental nova, teleport and focus.
The gameplay is great, I love the fact I need to reposition to cast focus and then unleach lightning again. That’s kind of the mage i always wanted to play.
The only things I could need is a skill to control the battlefield a bit more, like a stone / force / ice wall, something to block projectiles or monster. Are we going to get that kind of skill ?
I believe it’s around the edge of the disk keeping the oceans on while being guarded by cybernetically enhanced penguins & the armies of the Antarctic treaty signatories.
Don’t you think being able to place a wall to force monster to take a different path or shielding you from arrows could be nice ?
It’s not hard to think of it as some kind of minion unable to move. They could block monster progression, projectiles, get destroyed, deal damage when destroyed, or even be destroyed by our own skills.
Are you saying you don’t want the dev to add any more CC spells to the mage list ?
Would it be ok if they added a new DPS skill then ?
To be honest, I really like when how and when you use your skills matters. I’m not a fan of ARPG when you get a “move button” and an “obliterate everything” button. “On Hit” CC like freeze and slow are cool but being able to choose when apply the CC is nice.
Black Hole is a good skill but I think there is enough room in the game to add another kind of “ice wall” spell.
Not tried Primalist yet, you may be right about him needing a wall skill more than mage.
