When was the player respawn on death against Aberroth feature introduced?

Hi! i remember i tried to fight Aberroth a few times when 1.1 came out, and I could be wrong but im pretty sure that if you died you had to restart the fight from the beginning by using a Harbinger eye.

I now notice I could respawn a few times during his fight after dying, continuing the fight as normal in the boss arena without using Harbinger Eyes

I’d love to know since when has this been a thing? Since 1.2 right now or earlier?

I definitely had to restart using Harbinger Eyes in 1.1
