All this started with my question, where can i farm a Devotion Amulet for my Hammer Paladin. Thats why i went to the Age of Winter at 331 corruption and did some runs. And it was pretty underwhelming. That let me to the question of this topic: When do the Echo Rewards become good?
I got 7 Unique or Set Ring and 7 Unique or Set Amulet as well as 24 Unique Echoes. This doesnt feel like target farmable for my purpose. And why is it Unique or Set? Gimme Unique Ring / Amulet only and on that note, delete Set Items Echoes.
Its all RNG⦠Sometimes it feels good, sometimes it feels really badā¦
There are very limited ways in farming for specific uniques - all you can do is slightly improve your odds by getting the appropriate Timeline Drop Blessings and chose the appropriate Timeline that has a higher chance of spawning appropriate Unique Echo Reward Nodes. Thats basically it.
It really is RNG, and some of the item pools can be quite large vs others - i.e. there may be 20 or more items in an Echo reward pool and its just gonna be hard to get what you want. It would be nice if they made it more specific / smaller pools of unique categories etc, but thats up to the devs⦠and they would probably have to reduce the chances of the reward echos appearing in a MoF echo tree to compensate for smaller pool sizes to balance things⦠Who knows.
The only Uniques that are more āfarmableā are the ones that are Boss only drops. And even then, you may farm a Boss many times to get the specific drop you want. I farmed Orobyss over 200 times at between 300-400 corruption to get a single decent Apathys Maw Axe with LP.
I farmed for a Bastion for way longer than that and then had two drop in two playesssions in totally different places in the game from where I was farming countless hours before.
