did the developers talk about what they wanna do with legendaries? since announcing them?
are we talking + 1-2 to a full class instead of 1 skill, are we talking 1 more affix? is it something else than a armor piece? will it be be all end all and must have on all your slots or will it truly be that 1 item your hunting for to complete your build ?
will it give us skills from other classes skill tree? im very curious as to what the developers is intending here
I’m not aware of any announcements that included the types of specifics you mentioned. But, if they do attempt to make “class wide” skill bonuses, I sure hope they fix the underlying code that removes X random points from your skill tree when you unequip the item. Often times you have to respec and retrain that same number of points. I hope we eventually get some QoL update where the +skill system knows to take back the last 1-3 points invested in the tree and only those specific points.
It takes a “random point(s)” the out of the tree when you remove +skill items that are statically powerful nodes so players don’t abuse taking gear out and putting it back in to by pass leveling up a skill or switching around points without releveling a skill. So there is a reason why it works like that.
If the gear took out the last X amount of points invested in the tree, how could you possibly abuse it? In other words, it reverts you to exactly where you were before the gear was equipped (unless you leveled up and assigned points after equipping it, in which case it would remove those points).
It’s not the end of the world if their coding doesn’t allow for a “smart” skill tree system. But, I highly doubt it’s for the reason you provided.
I think I remember a dev statement that theres a technical restriction why it is not the last point you have put in. It’s not for preventing abuse. You can switch points in the current state, too. Just repeat putting gear on and off till it removes a point you want to get rid of.
Also afaik there are no plans to make skills of other classes availible, because of balancing issues and class identity/personality.
I’m very curious about legendaries, too. But until today theres not really any infos about it, sadly.

It would be nice to know just a little of what they’ve got cooking. Are these two other end games systems still in brainstorming or do they have tangible concepts already that just need to be implemented? Are Legendary items in the same mode? Just not conceptualized yet?
