What nodes from Gathering Storm affect the wolf's Storm Caller's Reprisal?

The Storm Caller’s Reprisal node reads:

Your Wolves have a chance to retaliate with Storm Bolt when hit, and deal more spell damage (multiplicative with other modifiers).

Storm Bolts cast by your Wolves are affected by your Gathering Storm tree and scale with minion damage.

Okay, so I figure their bolts use their own spell damage and minion damage modifiers but other then that it uses every aspect of my own Storm Bolts, nice.

But then I look at the Gathering Storm passive tree and… there’s only four nodes total that directly affect Storm Bolt, and two of these are elemental swaps that don’t have synergy with the wolf node. So only two nodes (Jolting Strikes and Excited Bolts).

Every other node either modifies Gathering Storm itself or reads “when you expend a Storm Stack (…)”.

For example, Looming Clouds:

Whenever you expend a Storm Stack you have a chance to cast Storm Bolt at an additional enemy.

Do wolves gain a chance to also double-cast Storm Bolt? It doesn’t sound like they would, since they are not spending storm stacks (they don’t even have storm stacks).

I’m not sure of the exact nodes but I was using this guide from ActionRPG for storm wolves and it was epic I think the helms pretty important - https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oP1z9X6A it was built around them using reprisal and doing all the damage. This planner might give you a hint as to which do what? Hopefully anyways, good luck!

I don’t imagine that the Wolves get storm stacks so nothing that happens when you gain/loose stacks. If you have a look at the build Donzpie linked it’s not taking any “when you expend a stack” nodes unless it’s to get to a different node (eg, Looming Clouds)
