I’m throwing this out there I think the new shaman skill will either be a storm or natural disaster related skill.
As we have three skills what are essentially cold(avalanche) , physical (earth quake) , lightning ( tornado) , and an empty void for a natural fire skill I’m gonna shoot my shoot.
And say the next shaman skill is fired based and if following the theme of natural disaster I’m guessing a volcano skill.
And yes I know these skills can convert to other damage types which is why I kept using the word natural.
I’m excluding necrotic / void / and poison as there is no relatable natural disaster to those damage types. You could argue toxic rain as one but two points for that. Toxic rain “needs” some type of pollution which is not natural by default. And marksmen has a poison arrow rain skill.
The entire Primalist passive tree(s) specifically avoid having any synergies with Fire as an element, (much to my annoyance) so I very much doubt they would go against that and introduce a full fire damage skill. I would be happy if I was wrong though- as long as they adjusted passives accordingly. Especially since we have items that allow for Fire Earthquake and Fire Tornadoes, giving the option to spec into that as a damage type would be fun.
It could be a physical dmg type skill by default with element changing nodes. Like stone boulder into ice boulder, or into molten boulder
But yes, fire supporting passives are welcome
Going down the natural disaster route I would really love a tsunami spell. Cold/physical similar to avalanche. Pulling ilvions wave from the 2hand sword that casts it could work and then have it branched into a full skill tree.
