What is the best way to compare defences overall?

So there are many ways to get a general handle on your DPS. Test dummy, how fast you kill t4 julra. how fast you can kill Abo or uber abo… etc…

But how do you compare defenses? Are there challenges one can do to compare changes in gear on total defences?

Hm could be complicated (hit dmg? Sustain?) but here are some suggestions
Nemesis poison pool, standing in. Corruption x00
Abby triple slam
Julra’s time boom
Abby time wave

Get your ass whipped and feel how much it hurts…

Abby, Julra, Emperor of Corpses nuke… stuff that can be easily replicated more or less on demand.

Nemesis poison pool is a bit exhausting 'cause you always have to find one, first.

You can go do some bosses and try to tank their attacks. Depends on which part of the defenses you’re focusing on. You can do Lagon to focus on DoT damage, Julra or Emperor of Corpses for tanking big hits, etc.

I personally use T4 Julra. If a build can tank her clock bomb, then it’s very tanky indeed. Aby’s great to test DoT/sustain. When a build can tank his slam+dark wave, then it’s good as well.

But basically bosses are the best way to go. If you simply want to compare between options, then you can go do a static difficulty easier boss like T3 or even T2 Julra and see how much health you end up with with each option.
If leech is important to your survivability/defences, then maybe a harder boss that still won’t one shot you.
