so while playing around with various builds for my necromancer, i keep encountering such skill nodes as “minion does more damage, and is also bigger” but like, what does bigness actually mean in terms of interaction with other enemies?
i don’t imagine it means they hit harder, or that would be mentioned (and slightly redundant), for the golems, the largness talent doesn’t affect pyre golems aura size (as far as i can tell) it wouldn’t affect cleave for archers or mages (except maybe death knights) is the option to make minions bigger just cosmetic?
I though it generated more threat, but it should also body block mobs/ranged attacks.
Yeah, stats without numeric values are impossible to judge what value they represent, in a game where everything else is quantified. Consequently, they will be most likely discarded as ‘flavour text’, which is a shame. I think it’s rather sad, that everything has to be quantified, though, it kind of erases the ‘R’ from the ‘ARPG’ for me, but what can you do if you want to ‘optimize’ everything?
that’s all well and good, but anyone wanting to progress will always take generic “minion does x more damage” than “your minion looks like a badass” if there’s no discernible difference between a badass minion and a generic one with lower damage.
