What are you going to play in 0.8.3?

0.8.3 is almost here!
What builds are you going to play when the new patch comes out?

I am going to try Sentinel for the first time. Spin to Win!
After that I think skeleton/zombie/golem Necro.

I’ll see what the new skills are and I’ll try to build something around them.
Same thing for the new Uniques I may find.
I’ll probably start by leveling a new Void Knight.

Yes, ā€œchecking outā€ new skills sounds quite good at first.

And hopefully there are a few useful items and you can get to them.
→ I’m still looking for - and so far no gambler helped me - the nice Omnividence [Items - Last Epoch Item Database].
→ Does anyone have one too many? I buy!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ha ha, I’m also still looking for it! :sob:

I’ll also be looking at the patch notes with great interest.

I’d like to make a spinning top character, but I also haven’t played an ā€œarcherā€ of any type for many years. I’ve also always been a long term necro in other games, so that’s something to have a gander at.

Lots of possibilities. Whichever path I choose, I’m sure it will be fun

Probably a Sentinel of some measure depending on the patch notes. It all depends on what else is getting adjusted outside from what they’ve revealed so far, IE Hammer/Shield Throw.

With Mike slipping the info that Multistrike can be specced to hit the same target I’m thinking a solid melee Bleed-adin using Warpath to clear and Multistrike for single target could be a good combo. Or a VK built the same but with echoing and ramping up Time Rot (also depending on Time Rot’s exact reworking).

Probably my VK - it was my first to lvl 100 char but I never really liked any of the metas so with all the new changes coming to sentinel I might spend a bit of time reworking it first… then probably tweaking my Regifter paladin & Manifest Armour forge guards to see how they will do in the new patch.

Existing chars aside, I am probably going to see about putting some time into Primalist builds as I have not really spent much time with them…

Edit: and to be honest, I am very keen on trying out the 25 new uniques & set items - irrespective of classes/builds…

I don’t know if the plan is maintained, but this was supposed to be for the patch after next

My answer is, ā€˜Yes’.

I hear ya and as much as I want to dust off the bearded one (especially with his sleek new model) I think I’m going to wait until after 8.3 to get a fresh look on the old boy. Hoping they give Shaman a thorough going over to make that mastery actually competitive and viable. Right now it’s too tied to totems and the passives and skills feel so scatter shot.

And I absolutely agree with all the uniques/sets coming. I know I’ll try the lightning meteor the moment I get both pieces of the set. Hopefully there’s some more build defining items tucked away in the patch awaiting to be found.

With the necromancer changes I want to see what it is like

Void night for sure

First, my Druid to see how eq werebear was broken, it at all. Then necromancer and finally void knight- must spin.

I have a BowMage , a IceMinion Necro, a NovaLightning Blast and Disintegrate Mage rdy for the next patch. Have to see which of those characters is suited best for it

I have a lvl 50-something Warpath Pally.

Nothing. Waiting for online to drop. Dont wanna burn myself out before that, dont want to play 500 hrs just to start all over again for online.

Too late for me then… and Boardman21 is already on almost 12k hours…

Yep me too. Going to start a new sentinel patch day and play it through the 3 day weekend :stuck_out_tongue:

Just getting back into the game after a long hiatus. I’m really liking the idea of a Shuriken / Shadows build for the Rogue, but I’m struggling trying to build it out. Does anyone know of any resources detailing what kind of offense/defense stats I should be shooting for at endgame? Simple things like: you want +X% in all resists, what to do if going for dodge vs armor, base damage vs added damage vs more damage vs increased dmg.

Don’t stress yourself out and just go for it and build it.

You don’t need to plan a build out in advance, especially when it’s a playstyle/class you don’t have much experience with, plannign stuff out in advance is not necessarily a good thing, since you will focus too much on hitting those ā€œgoalsā€.

Campagin and early MoF is so easy, you can get a feel for the build and adjsut accordingly.

If you happen to run into a brick wall you can come to the forums and ask for help.
