What are the most valuable Echo Rewards?

Hi I’m trying to work out the best approach to moving through the monolith. This guide from the Maxroll folk seems helpful.

In it they say:

“At the start of your Echo Web generation, target the most valuable Echo Rewards as you expand it.”

However, they don’t as far as I can see say what the most valuable rewards are. What’s the consensus?

That will depend on what you’re looking for.
Personally, I usually just try to stick to one direction, prioritizing stuff like XP, gold or runes. I will usually only change direction for stuff like idols or echoes that can give me gear I’m looking for (like exalted helmets, for example).

Thanks @DJSamhein - that’s helpful … and not what I thought. I thought items would be more important. I’m currently lvl 61 and just finished the outcasts mono and got my first blessing.

Unless it’s an exalted echo, I actively avoid gear echoes. If it’s an exalted echo I might go there, especially if I’m still looking for upgrades in that slot. But I might still go there just for decent exalted gear I can store for other characters.

It really does depend on your playstyle. If you like making lots of characters, gear echoes are more useful. If you just like to focus in 1-2 characters, then they lose some value since it’s less likely you’ll get something useful.

It also depends on whether you play CoF or MG. If you play MG, gear echoes might be more useful to find stuff to sell.

So it really does depend a lot on the player and on the build. For example, if you are playing an OP build that you know can get to 300c with trash gear, you might not care at all about the rewards and just make a straight line out just to increase your corruption.

Makes sense - I’m just focusing on 1 character and am CoF. Playing Shadow Daggers Bladedancer … I’m guessing that might be one of the OP builds given the way things have gone so far!

Well, sure item rewards are important, but they’re really only more valuable at later stages of the game, when you’ve built up a decent amount of corruption and are mainly only looking for upgrades to the gear you already have. You shouldn’t be target farming for items before at least getting to empowered monoliths.
Like DJ said, almost everything else is more important than item rewards at earlier stages of the monolith farming.

And item rewards become even more valuable if you’re able to setup a proper Vessel strategy, where you’ll be able to repeat that specific item reward for added value.

If you’re interested in maximizing your farming through Timeline Vessels, I’d suggest you take look at Heavy’s guide for target farming. It’s specifically aimed at using Vessels and it’s a little bit better and more visually explained that the Maxroll’s one
