anyone got a link to an explanation/overview of this?
for example:
why can I use the suffix shards that give fire/lightning/cold/void penetration and minion penetration on two-handed axes and spears, but I can only use fire/lightning pen on bows. Why can’t I use cold pen on bows, basically, is what I’m asking. ty.

(for random people reading: you can see on a shard by mouse-overing what items they go on but sometimes you don’t have a shard in your inv at the time or you are planning builds offline etc).
You can see the same shard tooltip in the Crafting Materials window.
I do agree on it being annoying if you don’t have one already, e.g. nowhere in game can you actually find out what a Glyph of Insight does without first using a few Runes of Creation
