Long answer: Search function helps. Some people wanted it but EHG mentioned it a lot of times that picking up that stuff is what they want players to do for whatever lackluster reasoningā¦ from my point of view.
What they really need to do is add recipes to the game that use or require certain shards, runes and glyphs that make new items etc. Kinda like Grim Dawns crafting system, but more simple, except for like something that would be truly unique or legendary that required a rune of creation or glyph of despair.
As for the auto loot, it would be nice, it would also be nice to see how many of the shard/glyph or rune I currently have when theyāre on the ground, like a number next to the loot drop so I know I donāt have to pick it up etc.
I liked how Torch Light 2 did it, and by that extension Fate Cursed King. Your pet would sell the garbage for you, or buy pots. Auto collect gold would be neat.
I would have liked also if the pet could in some form sniff out nemesis spawns. So it could B-line you to them
I actually disagree with this. I know recipes from an older ARPG (D2 maybe, donāt really recall), but I think that games need to be different enough so that I donāt feel like Iām playing the same game with a different name. We donāt need the same things in every game that we liked in the other games we played.
Many diablo-clones use recipes, but they do them in different ways. D2 recipes (via the cube) are very different from GD recipes and both are very different from PoE recipes. They work differently, give different things and have a different flavour.
So we could have recipes in LE, if theyāre different enough. After all, we also have several things that are the same from other ARPGs (like crafting) but theyāre done differently enough that they feel unique.
Yeah, but these are things (at least mostly) that are basic to the RPG concept starting way back before there was computer gaming.
Iām not saying that ārecipesā could be done in LE and made to feel different. Iām just saying that we donāt need everything in LE that every other game is doing because then it just starts to feel like a copy and not something different.
That is my opinion and we all enjoy different things, enjoy playing the game with different outlooks.
I agree with you. I am neither for nor against recipes.
I was just pointing out that even though other ARPGs might have āinsert thing hereā, LE could still implement them and make them feel fresh, since they usually add their own twist to it.
Or, like you said, they could not implement them at all, since they donāt need to have everything others do.
Either option is valid.
I would be disappointed if they implemented something like recipes and it was just copy/paste from another game. Though knowing EHG, I donāt think that will happen.
