Went into new area lost most of the game

Went into a new area after receiving blessing of Lagoon. Lost all bars on bottom, could not access inventory , could not get menu screen to come up. Other then graphics on screen , only map was coming up. Could not pick up legendary shield on ground. Had to close program with task manager.

Did you press the delete key by mistake? 'Cause that turns off the UI.
