In the ‘Smite’ Skill Tree, the Node reducing the cost of Smite to 0, called Desperate Measures, when you are out of mana…does not work. It still consumes the cost and effectively kills my build. Warpath Casts Smite, I hit 0 mana, Smite continues to consume the mana cost and does not, in fact, cost 0.
This is another game breaking, build removing bug involving smite. Please fix this quickly.

So I think I found where the issue is occurring:
If you start spinning with Warpath, while it costs 0 mind you with a channeling cost, and your Smite triggers; you pay its mana cost and will eventually have issues continuing to channel Warpath.
HOWEVER, if you start channeling a 0 channeling cost Warpath at 1 mana, since Warpath initially costs 2 mana as a base no matter what; You will be at -1 from a cast and Smite will honor the Desperate Measures node. I’m very much so hoping this is not intentional, because that is such an annoying micro-managing element that doesn’t need to exist. That’s not how the node in the Smite tree is worded.
So its still an issue that needs fixing. The Smite node Desperate Measures needs to respect channeling skills. It will fix the issue completely.
