To ensure our forums can be the constructive and friendly resource the community deserves, there is a need for rules outlining what isn’t appropriate. Nobody appreciates being on the receiving end of harassment or vitriol. To avoid this happening to you, we must ask you to take steps to ensure it does not happen to others.
From time-to-time we may choose to either edit, lock, or delete threads and posts not infringing on any of the following, or choose to make an exception for some which are. The forums are moderated in good faith, but ultimately at our sole discretion.

Distributing Real Life Personal Information
“Doxing” is absolutely not permitted and will be dealt with harshly. Any efforts to post personal information about another player will result in a permanent ban and may lead to us contacting law enforcement.

Harassment
We ask that those using this forum treat others with respect. People have the right to participate in the discussions which take place here without receiving abuse, and all harassment will be dealt with severely.

Illegality
As a general rule, if something is against the law then it is not permitted. Advising people to break the law or linking to illegal content will result in your post(s) being moderated.

Posting About Religious or Political Topics
Eleventh Hour Games is strictly neutral with regard to these topics. As such discussions invariably degenerate into arguments, trolling, and baiting they require a disproportionate amount of moderation.

Posting Datamined or Unannounced Content
We greatly appreciate the excitement expressed by online communities, however there are a number of problems with datamining. In addition to impairing EHG’s ability to make announcements at the appropriate time, speculation surrounding datamined assets can lead to people expecting certain things to be added in the future. Ideas found not to be technically feasible or have downsides not originally anticipated could be datamined.

Promoting Cheats, Hacks, or Exploits
Public posts about any form of cheating will be seen as encouraging others to use it.
People found to have done so may expect to be:

We would like to thank those who report such exploits instead of abusing them or encouraging others to do so. We recognise that those reporting an exploit may utilise it unintentionally. We will err on the side of caution and any punitive actions will always target those whom we are sure did so deliberately.
Real World Violence
Any threats of, or references to, real world violence are inappropriate will not be accepted. Depending on the situation, we may permanently ban offending players and contact law enforcement.

Spamming The Forum
Posting pure gibberish, repeatedly posting the same thing, making low-effort or non-constructive posts, and other methods of spamming the forum will result in moderation.

Misrepresenting Moderation Status
It is EHG policy to not publicly discuss moderation statuses. Posting false information about moderation statuses is not acceptable and may result in moderation. If you are unclear about a moderation or would like to appeal it, please Contact Us as posting about it in such a manner will not help the situation.
Example: Saying “I was banned for nothing at all.” When the moderation was for harassing other community members is actionable.

Repeatedly False Reporting Posts
Sending in a high volume of very low quality reports is not appropriate. It pointlessly takes time away from other tasks and reduces your overall reporting score so moderators will have less faith in your future real reports.
Example: Reporting every post by people that disagree with you in a back and forth debate for spam when it’s clear that this is a reasonable conversation.
