Weavers's Will feedback/suggestions

Love the idea

Issue:
Far too rare right now
Spent 2 days hard farming high level monoliths, 400+ hitting unique nodes etc and used all 14 runes of ascendance i had - got a total of 5 WW items, all under 15WW, one with ZERO ww from rune prior to patch.
The RNG in getting the item combined with the RNG of the rolls on the item make this system not enjoyable, i target farmed 3 boots, 2 got t7 poison resist and like 1str 1 attunemnt and one had other random non complimentary stats.

Suggestion:
Keep the rolls as they are right now, its fun to see what you get and if you get somethign crap fair enough
Keep the WW number roll same, as too many high ww items will be op
Increase drop rate/add node into monoliths that guarantees a ww item (can be random) - that way we can target them a bit more, or just flat out increase the drop rate. I spent 3 hours today back to back running monoliths without a single one

Right now i feel like im playing anthem all over again, farming for hours just to get one to drop and then it rolls useless and i begin again

Cheers
Keep up the good work

I’m not impressed with this Weaver’s Will item.

I found one that was for my marksman. I was excited at first. All new and shiny. A colored item I never had before. I put it on and played. As it was being powered up my screen would freeze and stutter. After checking to see what happened to this new item, I was totally disappointed that it just rolled super high in fire resist, (All my stat resists are over capped so it was utterly useless) and finally in the last few attempts it added a couple of useful affixes in low rolls. What a joke of an item it became that I just chucked it in my stash.

I ended up getting a couple more WW items and didn’t evolve them, just simply threw them in my bank as well. Haven’t seen any more drop since the first two days.

Wow, a random low level item you got at what sounds like endgame had a useless affix on it. I bet that never happens with other items.

Maybe I just made a mistake, but uhhh In 2 days of farming before putting the patch down while farming for pillagers gold I got an entire tab of the relics.

I have the opposite opinion, they are way too common and are “normal” uniques when it comes to pool. 80% of all my unique relic echos just became a WW item.

You dont see them that often as random drops, but you dont see many uniques in that way. But god they bricked the relic farming pool really bad.

Id much rather they have their own echos.

As matter of fact its sorta becoming a problem with how many uniques there is already target farming is getting harder and harder because if you want a less common item you are gonna see the “common” items like a good dozen times before you even see an uncommon one. So it feels like you are getting the same items over and over. They need to find a way to give us better target farming.

Yes, they are & given the rng i volved in them getting additional affixes, that’s probably a good thing.

Wow your name says it all…now just go away.

I agree with this. I’ve been running Last Ruin and for relic drops and also to push it to 200 and I’m at 176 right now and I’ve already got 3/4 of a stash tabs worth of WW Relics. And 2 ‘other unique relics.’ It’s definitely over-tuned right now.

Well, can’t say you weren’t warned. And I thought it was kinda tongue-in-cheek funny.

Good points made here. They should maybe make separate pools for uniques and ww items on the long run.

One thought I had was that the early quest uniques might make great ww items. They could have a fixed ww potential.

  • It would be an early introduction into ww items for new players
  • They would stay relevant leveling for a longer time
  • Some could even become endgame relevant

My only concern here is that, in my experience:
– A WW Item with its low Level Requirement makes it very good for getting through the campaign regardless of what the Weaver puts on as affixes;
– A WW Item will almost always be potential BiS IF it has a ton of WW points AND it rolls just the way you want it.

The WW Items are an interesting way to potentially get a very good endgame item that technically would require less chase than say, getting a high LP unique AND a good exalt to smash together AND getting the affixes you want moved over in a Legendary.

Yeah, but that is part of the RNG issue isn’t it? Some times you can’t find what you need and other times you get more of what you thought was a “good” drop.

No, this ain’t straight up RNG. This is definitely weighted right now. Probably because it’s new and they want people mucking about with them to test the viability and balance around them. But it is most definitely weighted.

No its because of the way the system works.

As far as I know, someone can correct me. The game uses a “Reroll” system. The game drops a relic, it can be any relic in the list, lets say there is 15 unique relics viable for drop.

Then each relic has a “Reroll” value, and the game decides if its going to reroll or not, then it stops when it fails to reroll, bastion of honor for example has a 87% iirc reroll rate. so 87% of the time the game chooses bastion, it rerolls into something else instead.

The WW relics make up like well 25% of the current relic options that can drop. And they are all 0% reroll chance. As far as relics go, there is 13 relics that are able to be dropped outside of WW items from relic nodes, if we include the WW items, then its 18. 5/18 = 28%~ of all relics are WW relics. if we include only common relics aka those with low or no reroll chance then they make up 5/14 or 35% of all relics.

I ran 50 unique relic echos, and hit more then thirty WW relics. Because they make up the majority of the common pool.

Yup. If the total pool of uniques for a particular slot has a large amount of uniques that will always succeed the reroll chance then those are the ones you’ll see most of.

Yes it’s weighted, but that doesn’t take the RNG completely out of it. The point I was making is that there is still a chance with each drop of either being a WW item or not, and that means that sometimes you roll “lucky” to get them often and sometimes you roll “unlucky” and don’t get very many.

I know that I went through a very dry spell right after they came out when I got one and then I went through many hours of not getting any.
