Using WASD movement and skills on left click through the move or attack binding sometimes makes those skills fire off whenever an enemy is near you making you unable to move.
Using warpath also seems to sometimes make your character stuck if you used it with left click bind and moved using WASD at the same time.
Yeah this is reallly reallllllly bad, Makes the button unusable because it locks up your movement and actions
Im also running into this issue with an acolyte. I have my Q assigned to left click, and if I hold any WASD after left clicking, it will auto-cast indefinitely. Quite literally unplayable, so ill wait for a fix before coming back.
same here, left click skills get stuck when using them and moving at the same time…
Same issue here. I have a skill set to left click, and when I used that skill with left click the mouse regularly sticks to the target continously casting it. I can’t move with WASD, only with a mouseclick. This is especially annoying when fighting bosses.
Same issue. It happens to me when holding shift + left click to attack in place with WASD enabled. After releasing Shift my left click ability keeps going off.
Same here, it’s very annoying so I just stopped using it… Hope they’ll fix it soon
I’ve done some more research into this because it’s making me go crazy. This was the ingame bugreport I filed:
WASD movement + left mouse as attack has some very weird interactions, sometimes forcing you to attack and move somewhere.
Expected behaviour: any change in WASD will interrupt my attack order.
Bug reproduction;
- Move with WASD towards a target far away
- Left mouse click to attack while holding WASD
- Change WASD direction
It doesn’t work all the time. It has two outcomes;
- Your character moves to attack, and it cannot be interrupted with WASD
- Your character moves to attack and changing direction with WASD will both attempt to move your character in the opposite direction AND attempt to attack the target, resulting in a weird moonwalk. Releasing WASD will resume the attack
Also found a really simple way to reproduce something similar with ranged attacks;
- Use WASD to move
- Use LMB to attack
- Use WASD to walk backwards
You will now ‘autoattack’ without pushing any button. And not just your current enemy, but every single enemy you will find. You can still cast other skills in between.
Experience the same thing. First thought I’m going crazy or something would be off with my mouse
Hi, I am playing WASD and using Left Click as the Move/Interaction key. When I select the Left Click to also attack, it automatically starts attacking either the ground or enemies/breakables in the area, and it blocks me from doing dodge roll. Sometimes it gets stuck spamming the ground, other times it runs up to the enemy even though I am trying to use a ranged attack from further away. I have to click somewhere else to get it to stop automatically attacking and it is really frustrating. The temporary solution I found is to set it to either ‘move’ or ‘destroy breakables’.
In POE 2, they have it set up so that Left Click is an attack, but it can also interact/loot items. In town, since you cannot attack, then it can be used for walk + interact, but when not in town the only time it walks is when it is interacting with something (picking up an item or talking to an NPC etc). In Diablo 4, it does the same as LE where it will walk/interact/attack, or they can all be separated, but when it is set to just interact, you have to manually walk over to items/NPC characters, which can be really frustrating as there is no walking assistance for interactions like there is in POE 2.
I know that WASD is a new + experimental feature in Last Epoch, and I am super happy that yall decided to add it into the game. I have faith that in time yall will perfect it, but I did just want to share my experience with it so far and mention that if yall are looking to another game for advice/inspiration, I would suggest looking to POE 2 as their WASD movements are the best I have felt in an ARPG so far. Thank you for the amazing season and keep up the great work
